The worst thing I've heard of, was when my dad was geocaching in the woods, and was intently following his gps, oblivious to everything. He gets close to the cache and looks up to search for the cache, only to find a couple, not peeing, but indeed "doing the 'nasty.'" He turned around and went another direction, planning to wait for them to leave, it was a cache, he never leaves a cache undone. A few minutes later the couple comes out to the path un-embarassed, asked my dad why he has a gps. He happily explained. Then they asked if it was in an amo can. Yes, he answered. "Oh, there was one around where we were. We moved it out of the way under the tree."

I am the daughter of a very avid geomancer, and have gone with him on several geocaches, and have even placed a geocache that started out as a simple father's day present. I have also gone to a couple geocaching gatherings, and love it when the other geocachers begin talking about their fantastic stories that seem to escalate in hilarity. The purpose of this rambling is that I would like to compile some of the best and most outrageous stories from geocachers. I would greatly appreciate it if everyone would be willing to send me their best stories at Bluemanprincess@yahoo.com This way I would be able to make the compilation, and make it available to all interested geocachers and others. Please title the e-mail with Geocaching Story, and only include TRUE un-exaggerated stories. Please also include your name and geocaching name, just for contact purposes, and the preferred e-mail to contact you. Also, if you would like to be known as the geomancer who lays claim to the story, mention it. If this is the case, then I will include your geocaching, but not real, name in the story. Unless specifically mentioned, I will not include your name, real or otherwise. Thank you for your time. I hope to receive some great stories
