  1. Thanks for the responses!
  2. Let's say that there is a fellow cacher that did a certain cache on a particular date and you don't know which cache it is but you do know the exact date that you are trying to find. Then let's say that they have thousands of finds spread out over hundreds of pages. After jumping every 10 pages (which is all that is allowed at one time) it gets really tedious. How about adding a 'Go to page #__' area, where you fill in the blank page number box, to the top of the page where the pages are listed? I've seen this done on other websites and thought this would be very helpful.
  3. A clickable radius circle sounds like a really good idea.
  4. Wow, that's horrible. That definitely takes away from the fun.
  5. Yes, this is a "big issue". It'll be "O.K." once they fix it, if they ever fix it.
  6. This has been happening for ages. Here is one discussion, and another and another.
  7. 6 miles? Geeze, why don't you walk over there tonight? Who knows... it may be filled in with concrete tomorrow. Walk? You said walk? You need to pull out the topo map of that area.  That's exactly what I was thinking. There's no way anyone is taking a leisurely stroll over there!
  8. I appreciate the response from both Moun10Bike and Jeremy but I'm confused. I'm not sure if this on the table or not. From what Moun10Bike said it seems like there's hope but from what Jeremy says, it's like it isn't going to happen.
  9. It could be seen as a money maker, because if more trackables are accounted for that could get rid of some of the confusion of if the cache that you are going to has the correct inventory and people are more likely to find a trackable where they expect which could lead to the purchasing of more trackables.
  10. Geocachers I meet in person are the nicest bunch of people... so why are there so many rude geocachers posting on these forums? Calling someone a "ho" is inexcusable, in my opinion. And so what if someone is in the game for the icons? Let them play it their way, and you go play it yours. +1
  11. This is an ongoing issue. There are other discussions about this very problem, one of them is: this discussion.
  12. You posted a Note log on 4th April 12 asking if cachers could check if your TB NAWWAl is in the cache. 22nd April 12. Grateful cacher found the cache and posted "Headed out to get some hiking in, and get a few caches as well. This one took a few minutes (actually, more than a few minutes), but finally saw it peeking out from it's natural cammo cover. No sign of any trackables in the cache. SL, T4TH&C" I had a quick look back through the logs after it was dropped off by CB & BB on 12 May 2011. The cache seems to be placed in a swamp and several cacher have logged notes about the water being very high... Looking through 10 Find logs to September 2011 - no one specifically mentions picking up a trackable from the cache. I think it's definitely gone MIA. MrsB This was posted prior to your posting of a note: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=771695e0-2f1f-45db-966b-9216968f5732 Earlier logs talk about dumping water out of the cache. I would guess that your trackable is long gone, one way or another. B. Thank you both so very much! We really appreciate finally knowing what ended up happening to our TB. Thanks again. --Dulce-Joy
  13. I have a different issue. One of our trackables, NAWWAL, has been stuck in a premium member cache for 1 year and 3 months. We have no idea if it is still in the cache or missing since it is a premium cache and we are basic members and can't see the page to read the logs to see if people are saying if it is missing or not. We've emailed the cache owner a few times over time to see if they would read the logs on the cache page to glean info about the TB and they responded the first time to say that they were actually going to go out to the cache and check it out. Never heard back from them after that and they haven't responded to our emails since then.
  14. When I click on the link that Viajero Perdido provided I did not see the message that you have marked in red on that page. Is it truly a PM only item? I! was just giving an example of how they think the page should look to prevent this confusion. The site doesn't currently display the red text. Okay, thank you.

    geocoins

The geocoin locater page has never worked correctly for me. It sends me all over the world.
  17. Hmm... I think the opposite. I think $30 a year for all I get from geocaching.com is a fantastic bargain. I'd pay more. Be careful what you wish for. I wish for even higher fees so I can have a super elitist account like the elitist snob I am. Maybe as perks for a $30k membership I could get a Geocaching driver, I hate driving. Speak for yourself.

  19. 144 No, not how many show on my profile. Trust me, that number has little resemblance to how many caches I've found. Oooh, I understand.
  20. That is very well thought. Great idea!
