I just found out that GSAK suports the format transfer.
This allows me to use this as a Place to store my caches and also to transfer them to my Mapsource.
Since I already use this there is no need for another program.
Again thank you for the replys
Thank you for the info.
I have recieved my Mapsource. Its a pretty good program just has old maps. ( at least 5 years old probably older) I already found out about useing my GPSr as a go-between. It works but it is still alot of steps.
I will check out the programs mentioned.
Thank you for your time
Scott

I have an Etrex Vista and am thinking about buying mapsource topo for it,
Can I still download the waypoimt files from Geocaching.com, will they work with the waypoint management funtion?
If not, what other software will I need?
Thank you
Not trying to be flip or anything,
But I hiked alot before I started geocaching and more than once I found myself at a point were the map showed a trail or the map showed only one trail in a particular area and when I got there it was no trail or many trails. in this case a GPSr with a waypoint near were I wanted to go was very handy.
On the other hand, I've been in the woods and the batteries or signal poop-out on my reciever then in that case a map and compass was a good little bit of weight to carry.
So I feel that for safety's sake I like to have both. I just feel better prepared for what ever fate throws at me on the trail If I carry both a map (and compass) and a GPSr.
I have a Vista with Version 3.60 and I still have the annoying power offs. My vista came preloaded with 3.60 so I've never updated it.
I look at it and all is fine I take my eyes off it and look again and blank screen. But I don't get any kind of a warning message that I have seen. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks, Scott
