  1. so, you guys seem to like the geomate.jr! i am looking into getting a GPS... should i get a geomate or should i pay the extra bucks for an eTrex legend H? i am willing to pay for the legend H, but if you guys think the mate will work for quite a while and not be a waste of my money, i might be interested! (I'd like a GPS that will work for a couple years, 50-200 more caches.)
  2. I agree. my dad has a Nuvi 205, which he loves, but isnt rugged or waterproof. The nuvi 500 will work a lot better for both.
  3. Here's a shortcut to that Just press and hold down on the front panel joystick for about 2 seconds. The "mark" screen appears, cursor up and edit the coordinates to whatever you want it to be. cool, thanks. I'll get the legend H when there is enough money in my pockets.
  4. i suspect you have used one, so thanks a lot for your recommendation! i have a question, though.... can you/how do you enter waypoints manually on the device? i was just wondering.
  5. Hey guys! My first time posting on the boards... this is going to be fun! Well, I have found about 10 caches, and I think it is time to get a GPS. So, i'm pretty sure I want to get a garmin. and I am 14, i don't have money to buy the nice "oregon"-type series, so i am looking into two or three eTrex's. Think you guys could tell me which is best for maybe... my next 50-100 finds? I'm trying to decide between: The etrex legend H and the etrex venture HC I'm leaning toward the H because of price, color of the device; but the HC has a color screen, but more pricey, and smaller screen. Can you help me?
