  1. I too finally broke down and paid the get rid of nag screen fee. I did so because it provides me with a macro that will load up to 1000 caches to my IPOD notes. It provides coords, description, hint, last 5 logs. It provided more than other NOTES uploads.
  2. I have been using my IPOD for caching since I got it for Christmas using cachemagnet software. I have learned that IPOD notes is restricted to 1000 files of information. WHat constitutes a file? It seems that the log description counts as a file as does the hint as do the logs. So that pretty much limits you to 333 caches. What about GSAK? How does it present the info on the IPOD. Can you really get 1000 caches with all the info onto your IPOD as I have read in other posts? Can you increase this size restriction?
  3. In the fall of 2004, we came off a trail and met 3 people who were headed down another trail I had never explored. Asked them were it went, and they said they didn't know; they were looking for geocache. That sounded interesting, so my wife got me a GPS for Christmas that year. 3 months later I found my first cache.
  4. I got an IPod for christmas, because I was the last person in the family to not have one. I saw a Notes function on this device. After a google search, I found a program called Cachemagnet which will take a GPX file and will directly download the cache information, hint and some logs to the ipod. It sorts it by cache name or waypoint number. You then view the information via the Notes function of the IPOD. Tried it out in the field today and I am hooked.
