I figured it out. The answer is. Do not use Magellans geocache manager. Use GSAK works just fine Will be comparing the gs files that are made from each. Man what a pain. you would think Magellans software would write a file that the Explorist will read. Thanks, Matt

I have done it all dif. ways. Select only 5 or 10 and just send them. Or transfer all. My cache file has only about 30 caches in it. I have nothing on my GPS. It kinda odd

I have a 500 and when I set the comm to file mode and send my cache data to it. I only gets one cache out of the whole list I sent to it. I am sending it with the Magellan Geocache manager that came with the unit. And what is funny it is the last one in the list that it gets. Please help thanks, Matt

When I do searh for caches near a zip code. And get a couple page list of caches. I hit the check all and download. And it only pulls the loc files. I would like to pull GPX. I have a current prem. membership. And how do I tell it to download all of them, insted of going page to page? Thanks, Matt

Yes I am using the gps with my delorme to track location, not transfering maps. Sorry for the confusion ex500 settings are nmea apa,xte,gsa ??? Delorme : Magellan w/wpt, magellan o/wpt, generic nmea, and other brands garmin,etc.... I have picked both magellans and generic nmea, and all the settings on the ex500. And its state "can't open specified USB port" . Usually I get that when a setting is wrong. Port works fine, system sees gps, delorme works on all the other gps's I have owned. Or do I just put the unit in power only mode. The instructions with the unit is very vague. And delorme is the same. I just might be out of luck. Thanks, Matt

Hello, I have just gotten my Explorist 500(my first Magellan) and I really like it. But one thing, my Delorme 2004 will not see it when using it as a recv. only. Anyone know what the settings would be best for the pc side(delorme 2004) and then the 500. Thanks, Matt

Ok, I must be stupid, I tell it to email my results. No results come. I tried a couple of my email addy's, no results. Man this a pain, I must be doing something wrong. Beejay, I tried to have just a couple sent to me. Nothing. I go to the pocket query page, I set the info i need. i run the query. them apply to to the nearest cache page. Does it send it when I run the query or when I apply to the nearest page. Or am I doing something wrong. Sorry for the ig-nor-ance. Regards, Matt from Indiana
