  1. Will you be my JoJo? My muggle husband and I are coming up from Austin, Texas, and hope to explore your island. I'd love to take you up on your offer for hiking/caching buddies. We'll be staying in Victoria from October 9-12. I'll have a car so I can meet you, if you'd like. Looking forward to hearing from you - (By the way, my name is "GiGi" because the grand kids call me that, and "JoJo" was my caching dog. She passed away a few years ago, so anyone who caches with me now is my "JoJo". It is (roll eyes here) a highly coveted position to be - my JoJo!)
3. I'm temporarily in Guanajuato and need my geocaching fix. Im having problems finding caches near here because of no zip code. Does anyone know about caches here? I recall reading about los momias y el Pipila locations.... Gracias!
  4. I'm taking a flight to Mexico and would love to bring my buddy (GPS) with me. Will it be easy to carry it on the air plane, or will it cause too many questions, or be confiscated? Of course, I'll be flying back with it too, and wonder if customs in Mexico might have a problem. Then again, I may just worry too much. Gracias!
  5. I did see that line! It was very interesting. A lot of whys and such. I guess I was looking for - what? - deeper, fuller meanings such as: man's interaction with his environment, enjoying the attributes of space and behavior of geocachers toward their physical and social environment.... stupid philosophy of geocachers paper. I thought I could pick a few fellow cachers' thoughts on why. Seems like it's mainly to get out of the house (and away from the computer?). A surprise. I thought it was mainly to enjoy nature. Thanks for your reply.
  6. Do you have a philosophy of geocaching? I had to look up the definition of philosophy: A set of ideas or beliefs relating to a particular field or activity; an underlying theory. I guess my philosophy of geocaching would be: a way in which people can discover nature, uncover hidden treasures, and find solitude or friendship while using cool instruments. Let me know if there's anything you would add to this list... Thanks!
