  1. Great idea if you have a big enough playing area. One downside I see is that using those rules it may end up fairly ref heavy (unless you do it outlaw style) particularly for monitoring the proximity zones. How about just building geocaching into a somewhat typical scenario game? Instead of actually showing the players where their various HQ locations, ammo dumps, etc... are located, give them the gps locations. Also, give the teams different colors for marking the logs, and award points for the first and last team to mark the logs. That way they will need to hold or re-visit the various caches.
  2. Palm Tungsten T3 with cradle, charger, cdrom with Palm desktop software, 1 gig SD card, black cordura case that also holds a small notebook. No scratches on the screen, very little wear overall. Had to get a new cell phone - ended up with a vx6900, no need for the Palm anymore. $50 shipping included within the lower 48. Or will consider trade for a beginners GPSr. Thanks! John
  3. I have the HTC Touch Vogue (6900), aka xv6900 thru Verizon Wireless. Internal GPS was a slight bit of work to get enabled due to the way VW ties it down. The internal GPs is about as accurate as a friend's iPhone, no where near as accurate as my Legend HCX. I bought a Holux unit that connects via bluetooth and the difference is night and day. Very accurate, and very fast lock times with the Holux.
  4. Verizon Wireless xv6900 working with both internal GPS and Holux m1000b bluetooth gps. WM 6.1 Verizon locks the internal gps to VZNavigator. Install Valhalla Legends GPS Server, and Serf Telus aGPS for Valhalla to unlock the internal GPS before installing Wherigo player. Right now this phone is available for $39 from Verizon Wireless - great bargain. If you use an external GPS module there is no need to unlock anything. I am really liking the Holux gps unit. Locks on almost 3x faster than my Legend HCX from cold start, and easily twice as fast warm.
  5. The Pharos PDR 200 has a WinCE 5.0 OS. Does anyone know if you can change the mapping s/w maybe put Wherigo player on it? Just wondering because my Legend HCX doesn't support Wherigo and currently the pharos is around $70. Thanks!
