1. Dr. B - Thanks for the good info. What are these producsts about and how can they help me cache? Do you need internet access for these prodcuts or can they stand alone (as on a lap top when I travel?) I've used mapquest and topo maps online but just the free stuff.
2. Hey I think I need a new GPS unless someone can tell me if I can download waypoints into my Garmin etrex. It has little slots but what for? Where do I get a cable? If I need to get a new GPS any suggestions? For those that use maps, does it help to have the map stuff on the GPS? I really would like to be totally paperless.
3. Congratulations $kimmer. Us newbies are totally impressed!
4. You guys must be on the VIP list at HP for using all that ink! Trust me electronic is soooo much easier! By a Palm for <$50 and then buy Cachemate for $8. You can download a free program called Cmconvert from the Cachemate website that converts the gpx file from the Pocket Query into a pdb file. Once you do that then all you do is hit the little synchronize button on your Palm and butta-bing-butta-bang you have 500 new caches ready to find AND log! When you come home from caching you sychronize your Palm with all your finds and then log them using the Express Logger to really speed things up! Thanks to Trailgators for making sound so easy to go paperless. I bought the PDA and cachemate and actually got it all together. I did have a slight problem until I realized I needed to UNZIP those dang files (you think I'd know by now that's how you get to the good stuff ). The following guides were real helpful to someone whose as clueless as me about all this new tech stuff: Paperless Caching Going Paperless on Your Palm
5. Unfortunately, you used the wrong link (edit.aspx only works for owners!) for Happy Jack's Chopper - you need to use details.aspx! Also note you can use the TB reference number in the URL, like this: Version for logs: Samuel's Ride Version for pages: Samuel's Ride On edit - actually, it works fine on the Samuel's Ride link on Happy Jack's page - just not on the Happy Jack's link on Samuel's Ride page. I looked at Happy Jack's Chopper and I don't see the incorrect link. Here's what is says Samuel's Ride<a/a> Can anyone clarify?
6. Anyone want to try these three in MTRP with me on Tuesday or Wednesday coming up: Monitoring "MTRP", Limbo Area, Middle-Earth? If so, send me an e-mail. After reading the logs not sure these should be done alone. Thanks.
7. How do I add a link in a travel bug description to another travel bug or cache?
8. TT - Thanks for some that aren't puzzles. I did the Nuisance cache just for the satisfaction of completing one of your caches. In fact, I liked it so much I went back a second time (actually I wanted to retrieve the TB.) I'm still working on the puzzles and one day I will solve one of yours!
