  1. Thanks, that is the difference why I could'nt get the same battery life as you guys get. Tomorrow I'll use your settings and will see how long my battery lasts - yesterday, while walking about 6 miles and stopping for 5 caches, I drained the battery almost to zero in about 5 hours.
  2. Am I missing something? What application are you usig to find a cache? 42 X 5minutes/cache = 210min = 3 and 1/2 hours of running my Geocaching app. The iPhone4 goes to 50% by itself. What else can I do? WiFi,BlueTooth are disabled. It's sitting on my table.
  3. Thanks for your input. Recreating the whole web page is out of question. The best answer I came to, which helps English speaking cachers, is to ask the owners of a cache if they will be willing to translate clues to some form of English in case translators would not satisfy you. I have not been in the Czech Republic for so long time, even I have some problems with specific technical terms, so I'm not of too much help here. But Mr."kulhal", as I deducted, is perhaps willing to do it.
  4. Hi guys, I'm glad I found this thread. Well, I'm a little bit new to the hobby - the Boy Scouts of America merit badge "Geocaching" forced me to go and find how to geocache. Yes I'm a Boy Scout leader and avid orienteering enthusiast, but with the newly created merit badge, I just became hooked. The problem with a Czech topic, I see, will be the language barrier, so called. Look at that guy (from U.S.) who probably did not fully get the creation of humorous term "káčer" (Mallard Duck Male). Well, I also didn't get it till signing into www.geocaching.cz You can see us at Facebook Troop 18 College Point
  5. I would not bother with it. Just write it in English and let them translate it if they need it at all. Believe me, I know. I feel I have to add a little to it. Even here in U.S. there are people mixing cache and catch, talking about "geocatching". From there Czechs got "kač" pronounced "katch" and it humorously leads to "káčer" (pronounced "kah-tcher") = Mallard duck male. my 2c Richard
