After I passed 1,000 finds and completed the calendar I stopped keeping score. The numbers don't matter that much to me.

Like Tiffany"s Slaves, I upgraded to an i phone and received the username does not exist message. I searched the forum and found this thread. Problem Solved! I contacted Groundspeak and might edit my username to remove the apostrophes, so as to avoid future aggravation.

In 12 years I've hidden 22 caches. 20 are traditionals and 2 are mysteries. 13 are archived including both mysteries. The caches have collected 101 favorite points.

I used Project GC to map the caches in my town that were archived between 2000 and 2015 and compared that to the active caches that we have now. What a difference. Most of the the older caches were in the city parks located around the four lakes. Most of the newer caches are 0.1 mile apart on the highways leading in and out of town. Also, it looks like we had more local people caching back in the day.

I joined the "No Compass Club" a couple of months ago. I've been using my Garmin since then, but the phone is good for spur of the moment caching. If I download a compass to my phone will the geocaching app be able to use it? Which compass is recommended?

Thanks for the advice. When I tried the screen shot the symbols didn't transfer. I'm going to try taking a picture of the print out and uploading it.

I am trying to setup a puzzle cache using symbols I found online for the last 3 digits of the coordinates. I cut & pasted the symbols into word to make the mystery coordinates. When I copied it to the cache description the symbols didn't transfer. For example: Word Document N 41 45.SSS W 086 31.SSS S = symbol Copied Document N 41 45. W 086 31. Can someone give me advice on how to set up the coordinates?

The "Send to my GPS" button doesn't work with Google Chrome. I have to use Internet Explorer to send the coordinates to my Garmin.

I am placing a new cache and would like to leave 10 spaces between two words in the description. Can anyone tell me how to do it? I found the photo code and the paragraph code, but I can't find the space code.

Does anybody know how well plastic ammo boxes hold up? A local farm supply store has Plano Ammo Boxes on sale for $5.99 and a rebate brings the final price to $2.99.

This summer I am going to take the South Shore train in from Indiana and get off at 11th Street. Find the five caches at the Museum Campus and work my way north through Grant Park along the lakeshore.

I had the same problem. If you view the new beta map and click "Enable Personalization" on the left side, the map will show your finds and hides.

I found a puzzle cache that had the coordinates written in Braille. My first thought was a bunch of dominoes.
