  1. Pineville, WV here Its a bit SW of Beckley, county seat of Wyoming co. Im not as active geocaching as I once was, but I still do from time to time.
  2. Congrats dude. Wanna put a cache out on top of Hatfield Cemetary mountain as a milestone marker? LOL!!!
  3. Im game. Once again though, depending on where and when.
  4. Count me in for 22 or 23 of May either one. Sutton sounds great. And, Ill help the bro get his passport.
  5. To any that went along that wants a full resolution copy of the photos I took. Please email me at catman76@direcway.com. Just tell me who you are and what you want. Full resolution is a 1.5mb photo. I can resize to fill any purpose that may come about. 1600x 1200 is as big as most use, thats around a 200kb file. I posted some pictures on the devils backyard cache page to see.
  6. Takes your 2 dollars with a smile. HELL NO its not going to be a yearly event. And I think everyone that has ever been there, especially the ones that have been there twice, agrees.
  7. Well, My legs are just now starting to cramp. I did walk about 2 miles following a parade today though. I wanted to let everyone know that I had a ball. It was nice to see other ppl struggle like I do when I go with Jeepman. Couldnt have asked for a finer group of ppl to perpetrate such a noble cause. There is a mighty fine cache on that mountain now. And the original site has something too. Hope the 2 that took books off the mountain enjoy them, and I hope the one thats in there gets some reading. Ill be posting pictures when I get time to. Thanks for the great day all James.
  8. 10 days away. Is everyone still in? I got the books in and 2 of them will fit easily in a small ammo can. But the third would need a big ammo can. So ill bring all 3 with me and depending on the size of the container Ill place some in it. Meeting away from the cemetery might be a good idea, because there really isnt any parking at the cemetery. Let me know what the plans are now.
  9. smiles...I have the automatic shotgun being his brother... Im sure we could wiggle some folks into the back. Ill bring a digital camera for photo ops and such. Also I have ordered 3 books im going to put in the cache. As far as for Rich Creek. Jeepman might know if the road we went in on when we went is still open. We drove within 100 feet of the cache.
  10. Mike, Tater, Puter, bro.....yall make it sound so scary. Ya might scare the ppl that havent ever been away from going. I mean...I only had to sit down 4 times and lay down once. I did get a chuckle at the expense of fear from a scared lizard tho. I recommend water for everyone that goes...dont forget it. Meeting at the grave sounds like a good idea to me...as thats past the highest place you can park. Im going to try and bring something feud related to put in the replacement cache. Maybe a book or something....just thought I would let yall know.
  11. um...what local mine? and..for everyone that is making this trip the second time....Mike isnt the only one that is nuts...we all will be.
  12. Im in too...unless something beyond my control happens before then. I want this bad boy back on the map. It is one of the most memorable caches I have ever found.
  13. bump.....are we going to do this?
  14. As I have stated before. Im game for this. It really doesnt matter to me when. Ill go at night on weekdays if need be. I cant go in the evening though the week is all. Also....I agree with CP...make it worth while to climb up there. Im pretty sure when CP found it there wasnt much in it. Ill add some good stuff to it..havent decided what yet. Might I suggest a large ammo can..so everyone can add something.
  15. Hello, Im James and I am a cacheaholic. Its been almost 2 months since my last fix. Im starting to have jitters from withdraw. I refuse to try and resolve my addiction. I am just going to admit I have a problem.
  16. Beauty Mountain Overlook isnt far from The New River Gorge Bridge...around 3 miles. Hawks Beak is also fairly close..less than 10 miles. Plum Orchard Cache is really close to 77 north of Beckley. There are 5 or more in Charleston that are close to the Interstate. And for a challenge..I humbly invite you to go a few miles east of Beckley on 64 and try my Pinch Creek Grotto if you want a challenging one.
  17. sounds like a good idea. Maybe a few cameras could circulate in this and get some great photos of every state as a byproduct of the event. Im in if this gets done.
  18. Im going to try and make this meeting. Barring nothing comes up. Marmetion, as far as I know Ol Baldy is archived and gone. Seems it was on mining property land wasnt it? It is shown archived on the cache listing pages.
  19. Hey everyone. I like the idea of an area meet. Im going to check the logistics of me attending Saturday. I might be able to make it there. If I can shake off my vampire nature and be awake during the day. I also am very interested in a large picnic type event if we can get one arranged. Maybe in early March when it warms up some.
