Hi there... This is the local Sacramento caching group: http://www.rcgds.net/ Check their site out - I'm sure a few of their members are out your way. -
Yeah, google maps is sometimes up to 100 feet off. Sometimes it's been within a few feet. Makes it a challenging way to find a cache.

Haha, think those chocolates in the cache are still any good? In the Australia one above that, only ONE person has logged any thing for it and it was a note, they didn't even get close to it. Maybe that terrain should be upped to 5 star. Heh. Looks like the area stays frozen all year... Chocolate can last years if it's kept frozen. There is a chance it's still good.

Well said....Bravo!

Is there a "Smegular" option? Maybe "Regular" with a note in the description that it's a small-than-average can? I was thinking that might be the way to go... Just trying to be polite, you know? Thanks for the input, btw... That sounds like a reasonable way to proceed.

Does anyone have recommendations for a good quality but reasonably inexpensive compass?
-
Now a tombstone geocache... oh boy, that would be slick. I'm gonna add that to my will.
-
I would say it's somewhere between small and regular... In this case I'd error on the side of regular.
-
One could argue that a culture permissive of cheating is an issue on the "grand scheme of things" , but that would be getting off-topic.
-
It's called "context". It's important in understanding much English dialog.

Haha... yeah, I've had that happen. I wrote up the cache page, hit submit and went and had dinner. I came back an hour latter to see if it was published and BAM! The first to find had already been by. Oh these crazy cachers.

I make it look gooood.

Your statement isn't very useful if you don't clarify. Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. Hehe.. ok. I was actually wondering if you were refering to buying an Oregon or letting your spouse lead you to a secluded location where a body could be hidden.

I feel a bit like sticking one where it's inappropriate.

I don't necessarily agree with that. '?' does not stand for puzzle cache, but rather Mystery/Unknown. I'll state right off that I think that Mystery/Unknown is the correct cache type. Mystery/Unknowns are the 'catch-all' of cache types, meaning that if it doesn't fit any of the other cache types, it should be listed as a Mystery/Unknown. As your cache isn't as straight forward as a traditional, it isn't a traditional. It might very well be at the posted (Many Mystery/Unknowns are), but you still have to do something else once you've actually found it. I would call this sort of thing a form of on-site puzzle I would agree, and there are other caches out there that are similar. I recall one that is a mailbox-sized cache with buttons that you must press in a particular order.

You phrased your sentence as an objection to waterproofing a cache. Are you?

I am mildly disappointed whenever I find a pill bottle being passed-off as a small.
-
If it suffered water damage you might be able to get it replaced under warranty.

CCV isn't listed on that site... What was the context?

I suspect the last visit feature isn't working or is working in a way that we think it should work. I've seen lots of accounts with 0 logs for years always show today as last visit. -
What a hot-topic may look like:

I find my blackberry satisfies all my needs for field research... I don't think the additional functionality of a laptop would be worth the hassle.
-
This is a forum, not a chat room. Don't assume your being ignored until a few hours have gone by.
-
That's an asinine argument to not make something waterproof.

My Triton 400 offers semi-paperless features so I use my Blackberry Storm and a few of the apps on it.
