  1. Does anyone know if there is an issue with images not displaying in cache pages where the images are externally hosted? I have several such caches and despite the images working when loaded from GSAK or pasting in the URL to the image directly, it is not displayed on the cache page. Example: https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC6210N_word-games-iii has embedded: http://www.noikmeister.emu.id.au/GC6210N/puzzle1.jpg which works fine.
  2. You remind me why I hardly ever bother posting in these forums.
  3. You could always create a fresh DB to hold the logs. I've got 27,000+ caches in my main GSAK DB and 1.5 million logs and it isn't unwieldy at all. I even load the DB onto my phone and open it with GDAK and it is serviceable enough.
  4. Did you download ALL the logs on ALL of your found caches? It's in the instructions.
  5. Hi, Did you read the instructions on the macro download page? The first time you run it you have to fetch ALL the logs for all your found caches. Unfortunately there is no other way.
  6. Unfortunately there is no way in the API to get, say, the 30 logs before mine. In GSAK you can get: All logs All logs newer than mine Custom range X number of logs starting at log N But there is no way to work out what log number your log is. I've asked. So unfortunately getting all the logs is the only way. I've had people with over 10,000 finds use the API to get all logs and they just let it run overnight. It worked for them ok.
  7. The macro is adjustable so you can get it to target caches older than anything, 183 is the default. For example I have almost 180 years combined of caches unfound for greater that 364 days.
  8. Just run it again, it should work, but you'll need to download all the logs on your found caches before running it. That is supposed to be fixed in 2.6, so I'll have to have another look.
  9. Hi, Any cachers out there who chase down lonely/unloved caches (183+ days since last found), what is your total? I'm wondering who has the biggest number. I got into it before I knew it was a thing. I'd just pick to loneliest cache in my state and go for it. Once I became aware of this being the topic of challenge caches I wrote some code to pull the stats out of my GSAK DB. I later converted this into a GSAK macro. Now I have 225 years' worth spread over 143 finds. I'm looking for someone who has more, so what's you total? Cheers, Jeremy, AKA Noikmeister
  10. Well I tried some experimentation and it would appear that if you make your image 655 wide or less that it wont resize even if you set your monitor a low resolution such as 1024 x 768. It just causes the window to have a scroll bar.
  11. This one uses a fairly wide image. GC1G4BW Here's another that uses map. GC412K9 Exactly. In the first listing you linked I can't click on the links in the image map because the image is wider than the frame in my display.
  12. Hi, I am working on a new listing with an image and am trying to use an area map to link various parts of the image to different pages. See: http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_area.asp But the image resize in the listing is messing this up. Is there an image size which will NEVER be auto-resized when viewing a listing?
  13. I was recently looking at a challenge cache GC45MM2, which challenges you to find more caches outside the 1.5/1.5 D/T rating combo. This led me to wonder why virtually everyone has this as their most common combo on their D/T matrix. I wonder, are there that many caches that fall into this category or is it just inexperienced/lazy hiders not bothering to put any effort into their listing. I'd like this to be taken seriously as a feature request that EVERY required field/control on the new listing form require some user input. So far the default if I don't make a choice on fields that don't require me to are: Date placed: Today (well today in the USA) Type: Traditional Location: My country and my state (why I need to fill these in I have always wondered since the coordinates should allow this information to be derived. Size: Not chosen Difficulty: 1.5 Terrain: 1.5 I think all of these fields should be set to something that wont allow you to proceed until you make a conscious decision to pick something.
  14. The same thing just happened to me too. I'll try the traditional and then change to mystery method. I really liked the old submission page much better.
  15. I have created a number of PQ based on routes and despite the fact that there are caches along the route none ever get returned. I have gone over the PQ setup over and over to make sure that nothing is wrong and I couldn't see anything wrong. Eventually I did notice that each time I run the PQ that all of the controls that are Radio buttons randomly shift between options. What is going on here?
  16. Hi, Just noticed a problem with one of my logs. I included "<=" in the log and it effectively truncated the log at that point in the display. When I went to edit the log, the whole text was there, but it just didn't display. When I removed the offending symbol the whole log displayed fine. Cheers, Norkmeister.
  17. Excellect. We have a quorum Now how do we make it a feature request?
  18. No. I assumed that if you chose run this query once and then delete it that it would actually run it immediately. Is that not the case? EDIT Well that worked, thanks for the help. I think that it is not the best UI for this. I now realise that unless you check the day of the week that the query is in "preview" mode. They should make it a 2 step process where you form the search parameters, preview the search, the commit to emailing the GPX file, then it would be more intuative. Thanks for your help Markwell
  19. Hi, I've been trying to create a pocket query from a bookmark list and they never arrive. I have had PQs arrive from the My Finds facility, but haven't had any luck with other types. I've added about 14 caches to a bookmark list then I choose create pocket query, then Run Once and Delete and submit and it says it has been submitted, but it never arrives. I've tried to 2 different email addresses and checked the spam filter of each one and nothing has arrived, even overnight. What is going on? Cheers, Jeremy
