  1. Hello, and greetings from the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm hoping you can help us out. A bunch of us mad-puzzle-cachers are working on a series of related puzzles that require a lot of teamwork and describe locations throughout the Bay Area, and indeed, the US. We've been directed to find the next clue at the following coordinates: N35 21.969 W109 02.934 I am wondering if someone from this forum will be able to assist us by venturing out to the above coordinates and reporting back with the clue. It is important to be prepared to look at whatever clue is found (generally a word or phrase written/printed on a sheet of paper) under UV light. Our friend has been known to include "extra" information. You can follow all the antics on this thread of our forums (registration required): http://www.thegba.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4678. Your part comes in on page 27 of the thread. If you are willing and able to help, it would be most helpful if you could chime in on the thread referenced above and let us know. Doing so would also allow you to coordinate with others if more than one person would like to participate. Thanks for your time! --Doug (sfodoug)
  2. In my experience, they will all fail in Firebug with an unterminated literal. Someone is failing to properly handle an end-of-line character when generating the page. Cheers, --Doug

    PQ problem

Just to add a "me too" to the thread: none of my weeklies have yet run today. I think I'll live, but I'll let you know for sure later... --Doug
  4. OK, this is a snarky reply, and doesn't exactly answer your question, but I almost don't think you need a GPS or anyone's help to find a cache in Victoria. Have you seen how many are there on Google maps? I think they pave their roads with geocaches!
  5. One of mine finally came through. The delay appears to be on one of the Groundspeak servers, as evidenced by these SMTP headers: ---- snip here ---- Received: from signal4.Groundspeak.com (signal4.Groundspeak.com [66.150.167.161]) by signal.Groundspeak.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id 825154A4CC1 for <xxx@yyyyy.com>; Fri, 29 May 2009 13:19:43 -0700 (PDT) Received: from UNICRON (unicron.Groundspeak.com [66.150.167.135]) by signal.Groundspeak.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id 236AC1FACA9 for <xxx@yyyyy.com>; Fri, 29 May 2009 07:29:33 -0700 (PDT) ---- snip here ---- My others appear finally to be trickling in. Perhaps there was some problem with a server somewhere that's since been cleared?
  6. Ditto. It sure would be nice if the zips hung around for 24 hours or so and were linked from the PQ page so you could just download 'em.
