  4. interested in a couple of the Iowa coins, too Thanks!
  5. The unusual museum that I want to waymark is at the Abbey Hotel here in Bettendorf, Iowa. The "museum" is just a room in the old abbey, but still very interesting: Abbey Hotel
  6. I would like to see a category for museums. There should be subcategories for the normal varieties..... art (modern, period, etc.), history (regional, period, natural), science / technology.... and my favorite, the just plain odd museum. Any other interest in this type of waypoint? I would personally find it useful for planning my travels and stops along the way. Hope others would, too. Thanks!
  7. I really enjoy locationless caches.... sure beats the heck out trying to find a microscopic container in a rock pile with thousands of bugs biting me... but that's just my opinion. I really hate to see the few remaining locationless caches archived too... I found two locationless today that I had been searching for a long time... a historic hitching post and a life size presidential statue, only to find that they had been archived earlier this year. It's very discouraging to say the least. I can see how some will log two sticks tied together as a find for a unique item or some other silly thing would drive an owner to archive a locationless cache, but for those of us who truly attempt to find a match for the quest, it is dissappointing. Well, that's my two cents worth.... got to go buy some more bug repellent!
  8. I would really like to have a place to store, say five, alternate home coordinates on the Geocaching site. Pocket Queries are fine once out geocaching, but I like to plan my hunts from home on the PC while on the website using the map. We live in the country and go into the city to shop. It would be great to switch home coordinates, just by clicking a checkbox for one of a set of alternate coordinates. I have a business trip out of state in a couple of weeks and would like to hunt a few caches while away. It would be great to be able to switch home coordinates quickly and back again. Maybe this option is provided and I am uneducated? For example, right now, I am going to change my home coordinates, do some planning, and then change them back. Is there a better way? If not, would anyone else be interested in this type of feature on Geocaching.com? Thanks! Morgue
  9. I live in Beaver Dam, a.k.a. 53916. Just started geocaching a few months back, and still haven't even finished the closest cache to my house! (technical difficulties with Swan City Micro, but I keep trying) I go caching mostly on weekend mornings or after work, as there never seems to be enough time for geocaching! Right now I am working on the fourth stop on the Horicon Marsh Parkway Cache. (Where I plan to drop a Jeep TB.... hopefully soon!) Let me know if you want to go team caching sometime.
