  1. I like computers, but sometimes all you need is a piece of graph paper, a pencil, and a ruler. Just plot the points and make an educated guess.
  2. Ok, which state, city, and street? The prices are not the same across the entire US or even the same city. I'll keep my eyes open in my neck of the woods. Thanks. - AKap (Arlington, Texas).
  3. I think that "4800 baud" mentioned in the response from Garmin is part of the NMEA standard for communication between various electronic equipement such as GSPr, auto-pilot, compass, etc. You can transfer data faster, but you won't be NMEA compliant.
  4. To JonaMoses, as peter mentioned on July 21, 2003 12:28 PM, Geocaching.com uses the DD MM.mmm format. 46.326 is minutes, 46 point 326 minutes, a.k.a 46 minutes, and about 20 seconds.
  5. Vista specification says it likes 3V input? How about two D-cells, some wire, and a little tape to hold the wires to the power pads on the Vista? WATCH THE POLARITY!!! Might void warranty. I tried it on my Garmin eMap and it worked. For a little more of a professional look, buy an eplug from Larry (search yahoo Larry eplug).
