  1. Sorry to deviate but couldn't find help elsewhere. Does anyone know why I keep being referred to as a tadpole ( on left panel). Am I frog-like or what? I can't imagine what the reference is all about. Probably being stupid, but i'm a newcomer to these forums. Graham
  2. I wonder..... When they found Saddam in that hidey hole, was he secreting a cache, d'you think? Hmmmmm.
  3. Cleaning? Cleaning WHAT? Your GPSr? Otherwise what's the point?
  4. Glad to see there are lots of other MM users there - yes I did mean to share perfectly legal .mmu files here. It's a pity that MemoryMap don't help much with this isn't it? There is a lot of stuff we could share. I combine geocaching with searching for ancient archeological sites, for instance, and could share GPS data about these too. Anyone else interested?
  5. Yo, dudes! Now then - does anyone else out there use MemoryMap, and want to swap files? It's so helpful if you have overlays of the positons of caches, descriptions etc., so if anyone wants to swap any in the UK, I'd be happy to reciprocate. Graham
  6. I have used two progs - Autoroute 2004 and MemoryMap, both of which have been fine for real-time navigation, though as I haven't got a PDA I'm limited to the times when I have a passenger willing to sit with a (hot) laptop on their lap. Hope this helps. Incidentally, I'm looking to connect with other MemoryMap users.... Graham
  7. I've just got hold of what's apparently called a "Time Capsule". It's shaped like an artillery shell, about 14" long with a screw-on top, in very durable plastic. A bit big for some hidey-holes, but a useful container. Would it be acceptable for a geocache, do you think?
  8. There's a good little bit of freeware called GPS Utility that will do the job. Email me at rgrahamsmith@hotmail.com if you can't get a copy elsewhere.
