  1. Yep, we've seen Gladware and other flimsy plastic containers.
  2. Now that we have found close to 100 caches, I think we are ready to start hiding some. I'd would prefer to use higher quality cache containers than Gladware. The containers I like best are the smaller ammo cans, but where is the best/cheapest place to buy? I see them often on e-Bay, but the shipping for something that heavy is pretty high. Any suggestions? Other types of containers that are high quality that you would suggest?? Eventually I'd like to be creative and make my own camoed caches. But for my first few, I would like to stick with traditional containers. Thanks!!
  3. What if the device is activated but have a generic data plan (not the Blackberry plan)? Would any of these applications not work?
  4. Funny, my 12 year old girl leaves small plastic ninjas in every cache we find where a ninja will fit (even if there is nothing she wants to trade for. She likes taking the caribeaners (she has quite a collection) and marbles. Our 6 year old girl loves any small plastic animals the most (fish, dogs, bugs, anything). I tend to leave useful items-mini first aid kits, hand sanitizer, etc. I love patches, so I think my favorite taken item was a geocaching patch. Maybe I will have some patches made as a sig item...

    FTF

Yep, I'm sure. I had an e-mail come in on the 28th at 10:46 AM, I checked right around that time, and already someone posted on the cache "FTF! Didn't need th think too hard - thank you." I check this e-mail account daily, so at most, if a notification comes in overnight, I would get it at around 8:30 the next morning. If it comes in during the day, I check it out right then. I think we just live in a very active caching area.

    FTF

I can sort of understand the bruised feelings (or at least a bit of disappointment in an otherise enjoyable activity). My family is still new to this, having only started in March, and I think it would be nice to eventually have a FTF (no prize needed!). I have subscribed to the e-mails to find out when new caches are published, and when I look at the listings (usually as soon as I get the e-mail), there is always already a FTF posted. How does that happen? With work and other activities, I know we will be more casual cachers than some. But it would be nice to have a shot at finding one first. But it doesn't seem possible, when the caches seem to have already been found before they are published...
