  1. so stil being fairly new to cacheing, what's pocket queries?
  2. Hows the Dakota 10 for other navigation? I like the ability to use Topo maps for the 60 CSX for backroads.
  3. Okay this has probably been asked 1000 times, so here's 1001! I've been using a ETrex Legend with some, but limited success. I fight more with the GPS than I do finding anything! Costco.ca has Garmin 60 CSX's on for $200, which looks like a real good deal. I've been trying to check some of the reviews on here (not as helpful as one may think) and the main complaint about them is the lack of ability to do paperless cacheing. Is it really that important? can someone recommend a decent but not overly expensive model that you can do paperless with if it's that convenient? Thanks
  4. with these TOPO maps, do they show backroads?
  5. OK, total newb question here (and I don't want to sort through 20 pages!), but lemme get this straight... I've been looking at an Oregon 200 for the papreless capabilities. So with this, I could convert a Garmin Nuvi to be able to look for a geocache with paperless abilities? So I'd end up with a road GPS and a paperless geocache one too? Hmmm... now I'm wondering if I should even bother with the Oregon 200? I know a website where I can get some refurbished Nuvi's from.
  6. I asked a similar question recently about the Oregon 200. I'm still debating between it and a 60Cx or CSx. I like the idea of the paperless geocoching and it's predominantly what I want to use it for.
  7. I don't normally use a GPS for driving so I don't think sound is going to be a big issue (this may prove me wrong). My main purpose would be for geochaching, and something with better reception than the eTrex Legend I'm using now. I like the paperless feature and beyond that, it'll be something to play with. It seemed like a good price to me (from what I've found) especially with the Topo CD.
  8. Ah, okay. So similar to what's on the eTrex Legend I'm using now. Thanks
  9. What's door to door routing? Says it'll take a microSD card so I would assume memory is expandable?
  10. How important are the missing components?
  11. Hey all, I was in my local Costco's the other day and they have an Oregon 200 including the Topo map CD of Canada for $349 CDN. It looked like a good deal to me, but I can't find a lot of reviews on the 200 so I assume it's a new one. Looks like it's set up for paperless geocaching and although it has a small memory (24 megs?) it looks like it will take micro SD cards. Doesn't have a compass like the 300, but how important is this for geocaching? Anyone know of someone who has or has tried one of these?
