I agree, lets put the geocoin back in the geocache, not drop them into some cache high in Tibet or some other silly thing I say that tongue in cheek, do whatever you want, just don't chastise others for doing what they think is ok, when your practices may seem ludicrous, or unscrupulous to them. I was planning a trip to Tibet to mountain climb, and had that one on my list PS I was going to make a Tibet mountain climbing coin in 12 metals to commemorate the event, I will have to rethink that as well

This is great news. Come on people, lets bid these coins up. We all spend hundreds, some real fools spend thousands of dollars on these trinkets. This girls parents are missing work, you think they are getting paid to sit at the hospital? Do something today that will make you feel better tomorrow. No, we don't know her, probably will never meet her, does it really matter?. I see people getting excited over Fairy Coins and GSA coins and other feel good stories. Lets take the pay it forward theory another step and help this family out, it WILL make you feel good.

This cache is a must do in New Orleans, it is within easy walking distance of Bourbon St. as well as several other nice caches, there are several nice virtuals around Bourbon as well View Carre however, is NOT to be missed. Do your search from this cache and have fun, and be careful.

I have read this whole thread through, twice, and believe I will take 10 of these coins. Whomever this is about, or could be about, or should be about should be flattered that someone actually wants to make a coin about them. It is much like this thread MOS that was shut down. An ego too big, a mind too closed to see humor and/or a hidden compliment. This is just my opinion. If someone wants to make a coin about me, good, bad or ugly, please go for it. I will sell some on Ebay, get some shirts printed up, hand them out, sell some and try to capitalize on it as much as possible. Does anyone have a good idea of what I can do to get someone to make a coin about me that does not cost me anything??? Edited to add, OT you may run into copyright problems hereGEOCIDE

Ok, a bit off-topic, but hey it's my thread How did that get approved as an event? In the past, events couldn't be about getting together and finding caches. (Maybe I shouldn't say anything, the black helicoptors might start circling ) Sure not trying to rain on his event, looks like fun. but I wondered the same thing, we just had one turned down for that very reason. It was just restructured as a breakfast event and then was approved. OT, looks like a nice coin, almost worth another trip to California
