Thanks karlie that whats i wanted to know realy, if the iphones app is that good then theres no need for me to spend more money on a paperless gps unit. I think that it is adequate for my uses although some of the guys on here really rate the paperless devices and may be good to await an opinion from them

I have the iphone 3g and have just bought a garmin gps as the iphone is not accurate enough for all caches i think the iphone is great alongside the gps i have downloaded a geocaching app that wil let you know nearby caches wherever you are and gives you all the info that the website does and is simple to use so if you need a new phone then no reason not to get it but u will also need a gps IMO. I have read that the garmin 60 has 'special geocaching features' is this also true for the eTrex venture??

I have been geocaching for a few weeks now and have been using my iphone however its not that accurate ive found caches when clues give you the whereabouts however when hints are not giving the cache away i am unable to find as my phone is slightly out which is quite alot when surrounded by trees. I am looking to buy either Garmin GPS 60 or Garmin eTrex Venture HC for geocaching which one would you suggest?
