You know you're addicted when you end up in a strop cos you can't find what should be an easy cache and end up 'throwing all of your toys out of the pram!'
Not that I did that tonight at all.
Ofcourse not.
At all.

Hi Folks,
haven't added any pics to logs as yet, but only cos I keep forgetting to take my digital camera (still reach for 35mm out of habit ) but when I upload pics to my pc, I upload to photoshop which has a 'save for web' option when you save the pics in the first place. I've found that this makes things much quicker as it's done at the time of saving.

Hi folks,
Came across this on a gadget site and thought it might be apossible answer if you realise you have lost your gpsr. I know it means carrying another bit of kit, but if the transmitter spends most of it's life at the bottom of your pack or in the car, maybe it's worth the price of a gpsr. Just a thought.

well, you learn something every day!! I can safely say I have never heard of polymorph but is does look like fun stuff there is a whole host of possibilites with that stuff. Having said that, anyone got any tips? Does it dry hard or rubbery? is there any shock or vibration absorbtion?
Thanks for the tip,

There's food for thought shootist, I'm using a Cobra GPS100 which seems pretty rugged (Not much info on them in UK, anyone got any opinions?) and a shadow 1100 is gonna have a little bit of vibration I'd have thought Hadn';t thought of velcro as a shock absorber, makes sens tho. Again, thanks for the tips to a newbie

Hi Folks,
Relatively new to this, so apologies if I've missed a thread somewhere or posted in the wrong place, but I'm trying to find a mounting solution for motorbike handle bars. I have a Cobra GPS100 (Dimensions pretty much the same as an Etrex) and the only purpose built M/bike mount costs almost as much as the unit itself . Has anyone had any success with push bike mounts or will the gps just vibrate itself to pieces? Any other ideas would be really helpfull
Many Thanks,
Jon

Thanks for the tip Minex, I'll have a look for suppliers in the UK. As to the vibration issue, comng from an electronics background, it is something that does concern me as it is quite possible to vibrate components off of the circuit board given time and lots of vibration . Guess we'll just have to see if anyone has anymore info.

Having seen some great countryside purely because of caching, does anyone else find that you pay more attention to the countryside on the way BACK from the cache? Is this because you just HAVE TO FIND THAT CACHE!! or is it just me?
