  1. Come one, folks. No prosecution here. Just put him in a big metal airtight box, place the box in the woods, and tell him he will be freed when the FTF cacher solves the puzzle for the coords. Simple.
  2. I guess it comes down to whether you value paperless caching or accuracy/durability more. I had the same decision back in May. Accuracy and the electronic compass were my two priorities so I went with the 60Csx. I have North American Navigator downloaded on mine for auto directions. I love it. I figured I'd use my cell phone for paperless caching later anyway.
  3. I'm thinking about getting the Droid and wondered the same thing. Any bugs with your Droid? How do you like it?
  4. I encountered one last month while caching in FL on St George Island. The cache warned of snakes but I was walking along about a 10 foot wide sandy primitive path and stupidly looking down at my GPS instead of where I was walking. When I noticed the snake, it was about 2 feet in front of me with it's head about 2-3 feet off the ground in the strike position. I backed away and the 6-8 ft snake left. One more step and it would have bitten me. Never have been able to properly identify it. Now when I'm in high brush, I use a stick to whack my way through.
  5. No one ever expects to need a weapon, but when you do, you want to have it.
  6. I use my 60Csx and it works great. The only issue is that the Garmin mapping sends you on some inefficient routes (IMO) to get to a desired location. You'll get the same thing on other Garmin GPSrs though.
  7. Interestingly enough, I kinda did the same thing recently. I got coordinates from a cache pumped them into a decimal convertor and then put them in Google Earth. The coordinates had to be way off, since it was pointing to someone's driveway in a subdivision.
  8. I just noticed that the Colorado 300 is on sale at Best Buy for the same price as the 60Csx I just ordered from Amazon.com. Anyone with experience with the Colorado 300? I'm wondering if I should return my 60Csx and get the Colorado instead. Accuracy is my top priority, with street navigation as my second. Thanks!
  9. Looking at getting a 60CSx and the refurbished is $20 cheaper than a new one. Normally I would buy new, but I've heard good things about the Garmin refurbished and they both have the same warranty. Any opinions or experience? Thanks in advance!
