  1. Why not one virtual per premium membership? This would eliminate power trails and ensure quality virtuals. If you only had one opportunity you wouldn't waste it on something silly.
  2. I just bought a couple rolls of scotch. Why do you think it sucks?
  3. Bad idea and not a win-win situation. Only those who can afford or have the phone needed to read those codes can play. There's already a game that uses those.
  4. We have two very good reviewers. The only problem I have inconsistency between states. What's allowed in one state is prohibited in another.
  5. I tried the users link and get this: Can’t connect securely to this page This might be because the site uses outdated or unsafe TLS security settings. If this keeps happening, try contacting the website’s owner. I'll send a email but have little hope.
  6. I can't find a seller of Geo Gems. The only google search has a link that won't work. Are these no longer manufactured ? Anyone know who sells them?
  7. A friend tells me he received a email from HQ about New Years souvenir. I never received this email for whatever reason. Anyone have any information on this souvenir? I can't find anything on GC as they make it difficult to find.
  8. I watched an almost 80 year old climb a tree and then go out horizontally 25ft off the ground to reach the cache. When he got back to ground he made us promise not to tell his wife.
  9. Thanks, That's very interesting. I deleted cookies and so far no problems. Virus scan says I'm okay.
  10. This is the geocaching web page with Groundspeak advertising. It's rotating and you also see their store advertisement and trackables. There's a link on the bottom that says "advertise with us" . When clicked your taken to Groundspeak to buy advertisement. I have NEVER visited this jewelry website. I only place I see it is on groundspeaks rotating ads. This ONLY happens on geocaching website. I don't get hijacked anywhere else.
  11. It's a groundspeek advertiser. You see them on the right side of your screen.
  12. Just did it once again. Clicked drafts/field note and the dadgum thing took here AGAIN. https://www.jewlr.com/products/JWL0063/espiral-princess-cut-ring-with-accents?shopfeed=1&sku=SS&gclid=CO_UpvLy89YCFdK4wAoddv0FwQ I didn't say dadgum. Apparently and sadly Groundspeak has a censorship program installed.
  13. Frequently when I click on log cache, maps or anything including just clicking to go to forums, I get transferred to Groundspeak's jewelry advertisement website. Does this happen to others?
  14. You keep screwing up the web page. I pay you hard earned money for premium membership and I CAN'T even log my finds. When I go to the "log this geocache" page all I get is the spinning green circle. Sometimes if I refresh the page it will let me log but not very often. Why won't you fix this ? I have many caches waiting to log.
  15. Concealing facts for the matter to make Groundspeak appear to be in the wrong, which if actual facts were presented would prove it was the nature of the deleted log that maybe the CO should have already addressed. I didn't address or delete the log when I first saw it because, it was just another found log. Nothing about it was obscene, vulgar or offensive. I never thought anymore about it until the finder posted a new found it log and mentioned his prior log had been deleted. And his prior log was deleted by HQ for what reason? I don't know exactly why. I was given a general answer that it violated something in the terms. I can only speculate it was a matter of interpretation. Maybe a generational thing where a young lackey interpreted something differently than an older person would. I read the log to my caching buddy and he agreed there's nothing wrong with it. Right or wrong it's groundspeaks right to delete a log. But that's not why I started this topic. As the CO I would like to be kept in the loop of anything associated with the cache including logs.

  17. Then why ask us? If your going to quote me then don't edit what I said. Here's what I said. "I did not include the logs content because I didn't want this to turn into a debate."
  18. I did not include the logs content because I didn't want this to turn into a debate. That's why I asked to focus on my two questions.
  19. You are correct. They still should have notified me they deleted a found log. I would then have been prepared to deal with a upset finder.
  20. Groundspeak deleted a found log on one of my hides. I was not aware this happened and the finder thought I complained to HQ and deleted his log. I emailed HQ and asked what happen and why I wasn't notified there were issues with the log. They gave me a short explanation on why but did not say why they didn't notify me. The finder did find the cache so that's not an issue. Please keep the topic focused on the following two questions. As the CO should I not be made aware of any problems associated with my cache? Why won't Groundspeak notify me or any cache owner when receiving a complaint or before deleting a log?
  21. Groundspeak you done it again. Your new logging page won't let me log finds. The option for using the old dependable page is no longer there. Please FIX.
  22. Groundspeak you done it again. Your new logging page won't let me log finds. The option for using dependable page is no longer there. Please FIX.
  23. This, except strike the first two sentences. Serious cachers can use phones. It just seems like yours is a bit of a dud. Not a dud. I can call/text anyone and they can call/text me. Believe it or not, that's the main purpose of phones.
  24. If your serious about caching get a real gps such as a garmin. I've always used a garmin and my phone is used for communication. Start with low difficulty caches. Find an experienced cacher in your area to learn from. Caches are not hidden to be obvious.
