  1. Yes - well done for pinpointing the problem. Any sensible answers? (and no its not swapping to Firefox - I have tried it and much prefer Opera)
  2. We already are paperless but for long multis we like to use the sheet - much easier than scrolling back and forward through the pda and swapping programmes to insert answers in a solver! Its because we dont print pages out vey often that we forget every time and end up having to print pages out twice!
  3. When we wish to print out cache pages using opera, instead of getting 1 page with the writing all the way across we end up with 5 or 6 pages with a strip of writing approx 2" wide down the left hand side. It makes no difference if we use the make this page print friendly option. This is the only website I have had this sort of problem with, although I know it worked OK in the past. I know of other opera users who have had this problem too- so it isn't any of my PC settings! Any ideas as Im getting fed up of having to open up cache pages in IE when i want to print them out?
  4. It's already a feature. Yes I realise that as I said later in my post. I do not intend to search for a PMO cache therefore do not look at the pages intentionally, however if in order for my sites activities not to be audited I would have to restrict my caching activities to those set by non PMs. That's a strange way of thinking about it. No, most people who do PMO caches seem to justify the reason as being a bit of fun to see who has been looking at their cache?
  5. Surely a feature such as this would cause many questions asked about a cachers right to privacy? Yes I'm sure we have all spent too many times going back to the page of a particularly evil puzzle? Looking through logs on a particular cache?? Looking through caches in a particular area I am planning on visiting?? I dont think I would want my activities open to others in such a manner where they could track my movements? At the moment if I look at a PMO cache I am aware that the owner will probably be looking at the audit log and I do think twice before going onto such a page. If this facility was open to all premium member owned caches, would we need to then check the owners membership status before we decided if we would afford them the pleasure of them seeing that we had looked at their cache? Yes I do respect my right to privacy!
  6. I totally applaud the actions taken by the Edinburgh cachers to raise money for the Spinal Injuries unit helping Billy Twigger, however I can see where some people may have reservations. The individuals and companies involved in donating the coins/TB tags/membership/GPS etc, all did so in the knowledge that they were supporting the spinal injuries unit. Looking at the prizes donated, it would not be unreasonable to put an e-bay value of £400-500 on the items before taking into account any particularly rare coins. According to the cache page the tombola raised £140 out of a total of £228 which was a fair amount of money for a group of 30ish caching teams to raise Perhaps for a future fundraiser the tombola or raffle organisers should maybe look more fully at how they can raise the maximum amount of money for their cause? May I also take a moment to congratulate HayLin for her thoughtfulness and wish HaggisHunter all the best in the challenge he has set himself

  11. After the hugely sucessful GITG at Glen Doll in September this year, the organising team have been persauded to do it all again next year! 19. I disagree. take for example the 5th Scottish Cache bash. By looking alone at streetmap. No train station is clear (ok distance is greater up there). Also for scafell (which is how this all arose after a convo at bucks meet), there are 3 or 4 stations on the coast but the closest one to the start location was not clear. As one of the organisers of the 5th Scottish Cache Bash, may I make a couple of points:- The event is in a VERY rural location - the only public transport that will get you anywhere close to the event is the postbus which runs once on a Saturday morning and not at all on a Sunday. There are two train stations approx equidistant from the event (30ish miles) so no - they wont show up on streetmap!! There are at least 3 carless cachers who will be coming to the event and arrangements are being made on the GEOFREES forum to arrange transport to get them to the event. If anyone has transport issues for a large event far from home, why not e mail the organisers? - Knowing where the nearest station is is pointless unless there is other public transport/other cachers willing to help to get you to the event? Being a car owner, I have very little knowledge of public transport links but have carless friends who can reel off train times and bus links - perhaps like us most event organisers think that cachers who rely on public transport will have many more resources on their computer with relevant links etc? Have now added a how to get there section to the cache page! Local public transport link and where to ask for help links included!
  20. oooops think we crossed in the replying/e mailing!! Is one of Jodels easier ones though!!!
