    Gps Sale

just thought i should let people know that Lebaron outdoor store has a sale on all gps units. the sale is only this week as far as i know. Lebarons has three locations in ontario, i went to the mississauga store. i got a etrex legend for 229.94 plus the mail in rebate so its 200. not to bad as far as i'm concerned. other units on too 60c is 100 cheaper right now and so on. check out the web for phone numbers and locations. www.lebarons.ca cheers
  10. good question, the extrex series has been around for a while. i think to get a good answer to the question it would be wise to ask the people at garmin. there is a link on the website for inquires like that. i'm interested in that answer too as i am also looking at gettin a extrex legend
  11. i'm looking at getting my first gps unit and would like to know which on to get. i have thought about the etrex lengend and the sportrak map. which is better or is there somthing else i should consider that is in the same price range. as its my first unit i don't want to go all out. although i would like to use the maps and be able to use it in my car and in the back crountry. i live in a populated city which is why i want mapping cheers!

  13. to the user who talked about bearing mode. is there a function on the gps that gives you a bearing you are headed and all you have to do is set this on a standard compass and they match bearing. (no math or anything to do like you have do with getting the declination off a paper map for the first time)
  14. hey thanks for all the info. so far most people have disscused my concerns with antenna and "qlick stick".
  15. back again with another gps unit question. got a lot of feed back about etrex lengend. what about the magellan sportrak map. or any others in that price range cheers
