  1. Message sent to the OP. They will be receiving 50 of my supercalifragilisticexpialidocious containers in the near future(for free). Merry Christmas! To be used only for the forces of Good!
  2. Sorry to hear that Tequila, I would say your "81" is now really not complete. I know how much pooches add to the experience, I'm really sorry to hear about you loosing yours.
  3. That's right, we tend to do it like..ahem..cough..cough...this:The Nonquon Chevy
  4. I am very familiar with that spot(eyed it up myself) and unfortunately, the land beyond the parking area is posted "NO TRESPASSING". There use to be this cache there: LOONEY 2N'S but it was archived due to the private property issue. There are however, lots and lots of spots to hide caches along the rail trail just north of this spot. Check that out for your cache. But you're right about the CITO, it would be a good spot for one.
  5. Simple, just email me the tracklog file - GDB, GPX, or whatever your GPS uses. The address is on the website. Thanks! Sweet! I will compile all I have and send them to you. Thanks again, this map is great!
  6. Ok, I was a few days late on this one. Got caught up fiddling with the Saugeen River Canoe Route and some Algonquin portages. Today I decided it's time to stop and ship the current version as I know a few people are heading into Algonquin shortly. Go get the update (v0.79) which has lots of new goodies! I've added some info bits and I'm marking where the dams are along canoe routes, to give you a bit of warning that next portage isn't optional Holy! This is an awesome additional map to have. I have a few trails that I can add to this, how exactly can I do this?
  7. Funny this thread has started. I very recently seriously considered packing it. I haven't been able to get out much since the beginning of December and was getting upset when I went out and my experience didn't live up to my expectations. This went on until just recently, when I've managed to get out and have fun again. I don't think I would delete all my finds but I would archive all my caches. This hobby has evolved into something much more complicated than it was even just a few years ago. I've never gotten into any politics of it(as you can tell by this being my third post), I've always just done things the way I wanted to and avoided that stuff. I can understand if someone stops participating due to that but that would not be a reason I would stop. The only reason I would quit would be because I wasn't having fun anymore, period. Plus, The Mutt enjoys the long walks and I don't think he'd forgive me if we stopped.
  8. Too many really! But I'm a softie and I don't like seeing people suffer. No problems. Never meant this one to be this difficult. I'll see how it goes and update the puzzle later this week if necessary. The story really does contain the info you need to solve the puzzle, you just need to read it carefully and pay attention to what you are reading. Sorry Burmars couldn't get the FTF, but I have yet to get an FTF on a puzzle cache myself, just not quick enough!
  9. Nope, you picked the best time of year to start this addiction....er, I mean hobby. No bugs! The extra cover leaves provide really shouldn't hinder if you stop and really look around once to get to the GZ. I have two little kids (the Hooligans) and when I take them caching I try and target caches that are larger. They tend to be easier to locate and the monkeys enjoy going through all the tradables. Someone (BellyLu) sent me a list of caches that are kid friendlier, here they are: GC11J5Y GC1PA4Y GC1MQ1E GC1BYEE One of them is incorrect, but I can't remember which one. They are all in Durham region (the incorrect one is out in Alberta). Have a look. Just remember, until you get a bit of a 'geosense', go for big caches. Once you've fed your addiction for awhile, then start targeting smaller containers. Don't give up! Keep cachin'!
