  1. Well the puzzle involved science fiction books and the posted coordinates were at a space and science museum so I guess that's a decent reason. But 13 miles?
  2. I'm fairly new to geocaching so I don't know if there a rule for this or not. Today I noticed a new cache fairly close to my house and I figured I could walk to it. It was a puzzle cache and I figured it out. I plugged the coordinates into google maps to get an idea of where it was and it turns out the location of the cache is over 13 miles away from the posted coordinates. I've figured out other puzzle caches and the actual location seems to be within a mile of it. So are there any rules about the distance of the actual cache from the posted coordinates for a puzzle cache?
  3. Yeah, a picture would be nice if possible.
  4. Hi everyone, I'm looking to buy a Garmin eTrex but don't have a lot of money to buy one. I currently use a Garmin 205W (car GPS) to find caches which is fine for finding some but I want to expand my search area and I'm afraid I'm going to damage or lose my 205W. I'm probably looking for a basic eTrex H or Legend, depending on the price. I would also be interested in any cables that I can use to connect to my PC but that is not necessary and a mount for a bicycle. Thanks.
  5. I just started to geocache and I currently use my Nuvi 205w to find caches but I'm afraid I'm going to drop it and break/scratch it. I want to get a handheld GPS and don't want to spend to much money. Best Buy currently has the eTrex Legend on sale for $100 and includes a case, DVD, and PC cable. Or I could get a yellow eTrex for $70. The Legend doesn't appear to be a high sensitivity model, does that make a difference? It seems like the Legend would be a better deal but I just wanted to ask here because I know I could get a good answer here. Thanks.
