Hi all I'm pretty new to this so please forgive the newbie question. I have searched the forums and can't find and answer so I would be gratefull for any advice. I live in the UK and have compiled routable OpenStreetMaps from here http://garmin.na1400.info/routable.php They are uploaded to my device and are generally working fine. The routing function works when I select Cities, POIs ect; but I cannot search for addresses. When I select "Where to" then "Addreses" the only option I get is to "Spell State/Province" and whatever I type in there it finds nothing. Is there any way to get this to search on Towns, streets and post codes?

Go to the search page, and search on your postcode, this will produce a list of 500 caches, so go to the last page in the search and look at the distance for the last cache on that page (number 500). Hmm! I tried that but ended up with over 27000 caches, and what's more - they were all in Germany. Don't think I'll bother again. I could only limit my search to 500 after signing up for Premium Membership. 11.5 miles for the nearest 500 in north Herts, I'm pleasantly surprised that I can do so many on my bike.

I have been trying to decide on a device for a very long time. I'm currently looking at the Garmin 60csx, the oregon 200 and the Colorado 300. I'm pretty confused, and I could use some advice as to whhich maps are preinstalled on these and what can be had for free. The additional maps add a lot ot the total. I want to be able to use it turn by turn in my car as well as have topographical features available in the wild. TIA
