  1. I'm working on my first geocaching layout right now (well, not RIGHT now, as I'm at work...you know what I mean!)...it's turning out pretty good...except my husband and I differed on the spelling of the title and I went with HIS spelling (because he's "always right") and found out today that it was MY spelling that was correct. Great to be right, bad to have to redo the title because it really looks good and I know I'll fudge it up when I re-do it. ;(
  2. we had a lot of random rock piles in the woods where I grew up...(George Washing National Forest)...many of the taller stacks are remnants of old cabin foundations or chimneys and the others were mostly the results of farmers clearing the rocky mountain side for fields. And then my dad makes little neat rock piles to mark his trails.
  3. oh I love scrapbooking! I thought it would be a good way to combine both of our hobbies so I'm gearing up for a great bout of geo-scrapping. Haven't actually started it YET butI do have a plan...I'm using 12x12 and each cache gets it's own layout. I also decided to take signature items from each cache to put on each page as memorabilia. I also like altered books. It's a good hobby. I used to work at a scrapbook store and that was just plain trouble.
  4. well certainly pardon me. All I know is I've never come across a locking leatherman and I had a serious hurtin' put on me by one once upon a time.
  5. We're still pretty new to it so I don't really know what our favorite item has been...I imagine Mr. Itchymax would say it was the bendy ScoobyDoo that we last got. Personally I'm suprised at how much out and out junk there is in these things...example: who wants or needs a plastic knife from Wendy's? I personally like seeing postcards, etc...it's fun to see the wide variety but rarely do I want or need any of it (granted, we're only up to 6 finds.) We've decided that we're just going to leave our new signature item and take other signature items and add them into the scrapbook that I'm making instead of taking more stuff to clutter up our house. --Mrs. Itchymax
  6. First time I've posted a response to anything...so bear with me. I personally coveted my first multi use tool and hae been glad to have it on many occaisions...It's a Gerber brand tool and I recommend it HIGHLY over Leatherman simply because Gerber's have a locking mechanism which leatherman's don't...those leaving them open to finger pinching which can REALLY put a hurtin' on ya...especially if it's cold out. So there, I recommend the Gerber multi-use tool and rate it right up there with the GPS for important tools to have when you're out and about. --Mrs. Itchymax
