  1. Since I felt that Geocaching.Com had no business asking for my billing address when I am paying with PayPal, I filled in completely bogus information. Subscription renewed without a problem. One further note--on the Geocaching.Com payment receipt page, it instructs to click on the "Continue" button. There is no "Continue" button on the page. Closest is "Return to Geocaching.Com".
  2. Why is Geocaching.Com interested in my billing address if I am renewing with PayPal?
  3. I'm not sure on this but I think the TB owner can delete the spurious log entries. I brought up one of my TBs, selected "visit log" and it took me to page that had a Delete option. I didn't try it, since it was a valid log and I really didn't want to delete but I'm assuming it would have done the job. Can anyone try it and verify?
  4. I've already suggested returning the NUMBER of Travel Bugs in a cache in a PQ. In this way you could search for those caches that are Travel Bug friendly and not be limited to those designated as Travel Bug Hotels. I haven't gotten any response on the suggestion. I support the concept of an independent listing of TB Hotel sites, searchable by area.
  5. Or even better to hand out to the muggle boys in blue who have been eyeballing your furtive movements from their squad car
  6. Since noone else has done it, I'll add an entry for the Chi-Town Cachers covering NE Illinois to the Wisconsin and Indiana borders. There is a fairly active Yahoo group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/chicago_geocachers/ and a Web page which is undergoing updating and construction at Chi-Town Cachers
  7. There's really no definitive way to search for the TB Hotels by name. Sometimes they are called hotels, motels, inn, spas, resorts, day-care and what-have-you. Some of the area geocaching groups have Web pages devoted to TBs and TB hotels. The St. Louis Area Geocachers Association (SLAGA) has a nice Web page. (http://www.geostl.com/mambo/content/view/36/62/). At the minimum, we could pin a TB Hotel topic in this forum where hotels could be listed along with Web pages like the SLAGA page. I would like to see an extension to PQ so that you could query by the NUMBER of TBs in a cache. That would return caches that are TB friendly as well as hotels. Please offer suggestions if you have ideas for maintaining a list of TB friendly caches.
  8. I think I'm getting a variation on this Map problem. From the Cache entry for GCKRVG (Players Have More Fun), I click on View Map. There is NOTHING shown at the cross-hairs where the cache is located. All the display options are checked. If I now select Identify on the Map option and click on the map, the Cache appears. This is definitely NOT something associated with my computer because I am using a public computer at the local college. I'll try this on my own computer when I get home but I don't think the results will be any different. Does someone understand why the Maps are not always showing caches? Thank you
