  1. I have referred to my 60CSx as Dr. Theopolis. Since I carry it around my neck. Anyone remember Dr. Theopolis???
  2. Saw Geocaching first when I was on a flight to work in California. Ripped the page right out of the magazine. Sorry AA. Checked it out, signed up and have been happy doing it ever since. It is about the only form of excercise I get. When my wife gets to Canada we will be hitting the trails a lot. She loved the couple we did down in Peru. She even beat me to one and had no idea what to look for. Ridilen
  3. You can try google translator. http://translate.google.com/translate_t Ridilen
  4. You can try to press "MENU" and then "STOP NAVIGATION", and then select you waypoint again. You can also try to "RECALCULATE" from the same menu. Ridilen
  5. Unless you are in battery saving mode, it does take altitude measurements while it is off. Ridilen
  6. Hey Sweetcamper, I have the same GPS and bought it because of geocaching, and it works good for me. Some tips to help you: The unit can be set for certain icons for found (open treasure chest) and unfound (closed treasure chest) for example. When you send the waypoints to your GPS set them as these icons. Or change if you wish. Press 'Find' and select 'geocaching', all the caches should appear. Select the cache you want and here is where the trick comes in. Selecting 'Go To' and then 'Follow road' will give you driving directions to the cache (if you have that version of mapsource loaded), selecting 'off-road' will simply point to it. If you select off road, then when you go to the compass page it will have an option of Found, Note and Stop. Found will automatically change the icon for you to the other one you have selected. I use note to show decrypted hints. Hope this helps. Ridilen.
  7. Personally I have no problem doing this. I leave mine open because I have several devices which I use all the time. I understand there are some dangers, but nothing on my computer is so sensitive that I have to keep it all private. I still do run a firewalll. I say if it is left open, use it. Another good place to try are hotels or Williams Coffee Pub's here in Canada. Quite often the WIFI is open for all. One can always disable the broadcast of their WIFI name if they wish and still keep it open. Broadcast it and they will come. Ridilen
  8. I just picked up a 1 GIG micro SD today. Plugged it in and loaded it no problem. Except for the waiting for it to load.
  9. Unfortunately I can't seem to get it to work on the Sanyo SCP7300. Not your fault, it's Bell Canada's phones up here in the Great White North. It tells me I have to download a plug-in. Don't know where to find it. Any ideas out there??? Ridilen
