JUST DO IT!

Who is the judge of whether or not we complete the requirements for the special icon??? Can you provide a link to an existing cache page, so we can get an idea/s? Is there clip art of the logo for these events we can copy and paste? How many events have been published so far?
?????

Have you figured out exactly what finds are not showing up in your count?
Someone else has checked, and it is not the archived caches that are missing from your count.
Find some caches that you know that you logged and let us know what they are.
From 97 missing, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out some that are missing.
Are they all from the same CO?
Are they still listed on the cache pages?
Did they get deleted?
A moderator (and a very good moderator at that, which is not suggesting that there is anything but...)
said that the only way it would not show up is if your log has been deleted.
Check for deletions, but also check for errors. Perhaps you were mistaken. It has been a while since you cached. Maybe you just thought you had that many??????
We are all on the edge of our seats.
ANY UPDATE ON THIS??????
-
oR, HOW ABOUT THIS: ADD A SCRAP OF PAPER AND SIGN IT.
-
The new cache page attributes are awesome! we are putting snowshoes on ALL our pages!!!!
-
I would suggest asking a more experienced cacher to check out the area with you and give you some advice on possible placement options.
Good luck!
Just hide it already. enough with all the talktalktalk. You don't need to have someone check out the area. This isn't rocket science. But no playgrounds.

Find count is up to 914 now with a caching trip, but no update here. Maybe it was all just smoke and mirrors?????

Hey Redtech, very nice cache page for your first! We like it! Outstanding job!
We have a final comment on this (not directed at you):
We always find it amusing and somewhat curious when high number cachers with zero hides start dissing the CO's...
-
Redtech said this before anyone started getting nasty about their first post.
I'll be kicking myself forever. I knew I shouldn't have waited this long.Sounds to me like acceptance of the situation the way it is instead of the way they wished it. They posted out of frustration is all. A very human thing to do. Too bad being human doesn't live up to the standards of some folks.
Some folks probably don't like to be called inhumane, either.

The forums are not hostile. But if you come on them ranting and fighting, you can bet your hostility will be met with superior and righteous intellectual force...
I haven't been ranting, fighting, or hostile and I have had people make a few snide remarks that were uncalled for.
I'm sure no one took offense at your "low caliber" comment or considered it "snide"...

Remind us again while the term is "nominated"???

Nanos are the scurge of geocaching and may be the end...

Land Ownership can have many restrictions imposed by various governments as well as tradition. Governments regularly restrict certain activities on land including residential or commercial use, archeological or environmental activities, right of way, riparian rights etc.
Most modern laws have something to say about what a landowner can and can't do regarding a cemetery on his property, for example plowing it up... Just cuz the river runs thru it doesn't mean you can dam it up...

I think I would tell the guy with the stupid horse picture to go kiss the other end of it.
I think I would tell you to get to know the guy with the stupid horse picture a little better before judging him.
I may not agree with every post of his but overall he is more helpful, polite and helpful than many people here.
Myself included.
If that is the case, then that explains why these forums are so hostile. I would hope that most of the posters would be of slightly better caliber.

Cache count remains at 901.

Get him his own account now!!!

I realize that some people are only happy when berating strangers on the web. Whatever helps them sleep at night, I guess.
I'm sure you'll sleep just fine, eh? . YOU are the one who called out a fellow cacher as a site thief and berated him for hiding micros...
-
Have you asked the cache owner? It has long been considered "bad form" to come to the forums looking for help solving a puzzle cache.
-
This is what I get for being slow of course but $*#^%(#*(#%#$&. I was literally WEEKS away from this and he stole EVERY ONE of my locations.
Well, all except the one on my property, I guess I'd better hurry up with that one before he puts a micro in a roadsign across the street. It will be the only non-micro in town.
Yeah, waiting almost three years to hide your first cache could be characterized as being slow...
How many WEEKS away were you?
I just HATE it when somebody STEALS a location from me that has clearly been reserved for me exclusively.
Let us know when you put out your regular sized cache...until then be happy you have ten new caches to find so near to your home place.

ANybody up for a Hurricane Party?

I would like to weigh in on the side of CO's hiding a few caches that they can maintain. I would rather have fewer caches that people regularly check up on than hundreds of wet logs stuffed into film cans littering the city.
carry on in whatever color you see fit
Do you like purple? We are supposing you can't maintain ANY. TFTC
-
Well huh. Will you look at that? What is it?
-
Any update on this???

I wasn't directing it at the cache owners. The comment was made right before mine about people not helping the cache owners. An unmaintained cache is not hidden. It's garbage.
How is"it's the cache owners responsibility to care for the stuff they throw out out there." not directed at cache owners? No one questions their responsibility. It's just our opinion that cachers should help each other out, and they do, for the most part, altho apparently not in this case. Instead of doing a little cache repair to help out , calling the CO out in the forums for an "almost full" log is the way to go. One man's "garbage" is another man's treasure.
Why don't you throw out some garbage?? We'll be glad to monitor your progress in caring for it.
