My gen stat macro was working fine but now locks up on the C:/ screen and wont' send my stats over to my profile page. I recently had a virus, got it cleaned out or so I thought, the new thing happening is Active X control pops up and blocks something which may be why it's locking up. Can anyone help?? Sean

1) Does anyone know how to make a picture appear on cache page but not in the gallery? 2) Does anyone know how to get a gallery picture to not take you back to the page but instead call up larger on your screen from the gallery? 3) Does anyone know how to post a picture within your log?? I have no idea. Can you do that on any device? If you means simply punching in coords to the device in hand, the answer is yes. The Colorado/Oregon/Dakota software can read GPX files off a MicroSD card. I haven't heard of anyone handing out data cards at events though. They'd likely just use paper. I think they are doing this gpx on micro cards there as none of the coords will be on geocaching yet and it saves paper--gonna be a lot of cachers.. . . anyway, so, does anyone know if garmin csx does this too??

Can I load caches for events that aren't on geocache website yet--not too sure how they do this but supposedly I'll load them on via a card--is this possible on the 60csx.. . .. . ??

Okay, so I have read some forums on here and it seems some like the Colorado and others the 60 Csx. My wife and I use Blackberrys and have Geocache navigator. This can do all of the paperless stuff for us. However while most of the time the gps is good--get in the woods and it blows. So, we splurged and got the 60 CSx but the Colorado was 20 bucks cheaper and caught our eye. So, right next to me is the Csx not opened yet. We can do the paperless caching, so that is not as big of a deal EXCEPT that we'd like to be able to load caches via the cards when we go to events . . . . .Do these both work for this, is one better?? Suggestions?? The web/forums lead you to believe both are fairly good units--but it seems like 60CSx is "a legend". . . HELP??? Sean

There must be umpty-zillion possible ways to reward your FTF team! I would bet that whatever you chose (and something unique created by you would be best), the memory link to the experience is much more valuable than the object itself. Note--agreed--this is not necessarily for the FTF--this is for completing the series--they are altogether different .

Exactly--you log the FTF as soon as you can. That means if you go back home--Log it. If you go around and do some other caches in the area and you can't do it for 2 or 3 hours--this is different. This morning I had FTF at 7am and then went around to some other caches and logged at 9. This was for no reason then, I already drove to areas so why not. However, deliberatly waiting to have the STF get upset is really just being a *BEEP.* Omaha has a few like you and it's very annoying. Glad this post helped you change your ways. To be honest, just posting this should have made you realize--if I think it's wrong--it probably is. CubsFanSean

Pathtags would be fine but to get a fairly good deal, I'd be looking at 50 to 100. . . . doesn't that seem like a ton, or is that okay, to give it out to the first 99 since i'd keep one LOL. Sean

I am developing a 9 to 10 part series. For those who complete all the series, I plan on giving the first __ some sort of prize. I have some FTF bumpers stickers I made that people enjoy but I was wanting to do something different. I don't want to spend tons of money but yet I want it to be cool enought to be worth it. The theme of my cache is Secret Society--anyone got any ideas and about how many I should I give out and/or ideas for what would be good to give out--geocoins just are too expensive. I know this is not required, this is just a hard series with two or three difficult caches along with puzzles etc. . . I figure those who've done it all deserve something. Thoughts/Ideas?? Sean

I did as instructed by coinsandpins.com and went to coincodes.com. So far have emails out to both groups with no success. I got two 100 finds coins one for sister-in-law and one for us and a travelslug. None of the coins get me access codes. I'm not circulating anything but slug but figured I'd activate to be safe. You never know. Any help here--it's annoying they won't reply at all. CubsFanSean

Unckeck the "Yes, this listing is active" checkbox on the new cache submission form and the reviewers will ignore your cache. Be careful with special characters, even if you get them to display correctly in your web browser they may not display correctly in others, also will they work equally well on windows, apple macs and Linux. Will they display correctly on smart phones, PDs Blackberrys etc. It's maybe better to display an image of your cryptogram. I should know how to display an image but I have forgotten. How do I do this?? Sean

I am trying to put in a cryptogram on geocaching and several of the charaters are showing up incorrectly, e.g. □£†♪♣‛♠¶! this becoms a bunch of question marks--any tips. . . in the meantime, how do i get this not to be published til I fix it. .. Thanks a ton. Sean

Okay, so I don't want to spend 10 bucks a piece for FTF coins but I wanted to give something a little personal to people who get FTFs on my caches--I plan on hiding several now that I'm so into this. Anyway, I designed a bumper sticker that basically reads (anyone can copy that idea I don't care ). So, I made a custom bumper sticker that says "I was the FTF a Genuine CubsFanSean (my ID) Cache" I added a few of the free logos and thought it looked pretty good. ENTER the wife, the ball and chain etc. She says the ID is stupid. No one will want to put it on their car or enjoy it as the FTF prize... . I can get 100 of these for a buck a piece. . . or buy FTF coins etc... shoot, I could do the boring lottery ticket, gift certificate etc. So, my question for the other cachers is which would you rather have?? Hey all. I have been getting notifications of new caches for about 3 weeks ago. I hadnt gotten any a while and was thinking uh oh. I noticed today at least 5 or 6 new caches have been up in my area yet I'm not getting notifications. Everything seems okay as far as setup. Has anyone set this up and had this happen, if so do they know what to do?? CubsFanSean
