  1. Try a search from postcode PH1 5AA Plenty to choose from, wouldn't dare recommend any though! And welcome to Scotland!
  2. Yes I have heard of them. Yes I have found plenty. Although an artistic creation would be lovely to find, you do run the risk of the stamp being taken or even the box being muggled like any cache. So perhaps cheaper/easier to buy ready made stamps? It clearly states on the site what a Letterbox cache is if you just click on the Letter icon on the 'Seek Geocache' page, which provides a further link for you, or If you are unsure, just contact the owner?? Yes I have had the stamps taken away, and the Ink Pad, so glad I didn't have a personal stamp. There are plenty of letterbox hybrids in Scotland, I hope it catches on elsewhere. examples; allieballie - 14 letterboxes Cookster - 4 letterboxes Haggis Hunter - 1 letterbox Marmal - 3 letterboxes McKryton - 10 letterboxes PP - 26 letterboxes Snaik - 16 letterboxes Team Clova - 28 letterboxes and I'm sure there are other people I have missed, as you can see they are very popular up here in Fife/Perthshire/Angus/Lothian Go ahead and set one, see how it goes, and Good Luck. - er perhaps with a note on the page explaining not to remove the stamp and ink pad?? A sticker on both saying do not remove sounds an excellent idea. It might be an idea as well for those hunting for them to carry their own ink pad, as these can dry up over time in a box.
  3. Er, yep it not a hard one (for a change Jodel!!!) Clue emailed to you. Good Luck solving it! PP
  4. Sorry, won't be able to attend, as this clashes with the 5th Scottish Cache Bash - Gathering in the Glens. Wish you every success with your event!
  5. Just came to my attention that the Event page is now up for this . GATHERING IN THE GLENS
  6. get caught by a speed camera....quote from: j.clarkson. "Go. It’d be worth it because I now reckon the best view of the world would be Scotland, seen through the windscreen of this remarkable new car. And there’s no need to be distracted by the ceaseless flashing of the speed cameras in your rear-view mirror because if you’re going fast enough you’ll be out of the frame before the image can be stored. The speed you need to be going to do this is 178mph. Conveniently, the speed you can achieve in a new 911 is 182." B. Nope - but interesting theory- will try it if I win the lottery this week! Speed?? You TC?? Never!!
  7. Pah! Nope, but think you might!! Only Geocoins were asked for, and one is a Virtual in a micro which I didn't count!!!
  8. Perth Only 5 coins in 200 caches Perhaps somebody would like to do a raid of the Cubria caches and head north??
  9. Or the "left" shoe perhaps? OOps sorry, just been reading different thread! Think I will be at the bottom as well this month!
  10. Wow, well done, exactly double my score!! My excuse - well there are less caches up here, oops!
  11. Very well done!! You will soon find that hiding caches is almost as addictive as finding caches! The secret is knowing when to stop!! - I haven't found out that secret yet!
  12. Just waiting for the star guest to arrive and Fire up the BBQ!
  13. 7 a.m. on a Sunday morning? Thought I was the only mad person to be up, and on the poota at this time? WRONG!! Is this forum really viewed 24 hours a day? (OK apologies to those in different time zones)
  14. A devil smiley, or one holding a wooden spoon perhaps?
  15. Good try!! But I don't think you have the same fiery temparament!!
  16. Multi-cache is great for making people look up at architecture, etc, or to take them on a circular tour. Just keep them interesting and not too long, or split it into several trails. Traditional for long walks or up hills. (I usually take a variety of sizes, as its sometimes difficult to find the right size hidey hole) Micros for towns or cache n dash. Letterbox caches great for kids to collect the stamps. Love puzzles, they great for solving at home on a rainy day! Just do a variety, and see what the best response is would be my advice, and good luck setting!
  17. Nice to be called a youth 'cos of my petite size, thanks for the compliment SP!
