  1. " On your left" ..... depends which direction you approached ?? lets have N.S.E.W please "Under the stone/rock/boulder" ..... depends on your intepretation, how about approx size/shape please "in the multi-trunked tree" ..... aaaagh, in a coppiced wood!! "those very long winded hints with explanations that take an age to decrypt the clue when you are stood floundering at the cache site after spending half an hour getting covered in muck trying to find the flaming thing and the wind is blowing sideways trying to rip the piece of paper out of your hands and the rain is slowly turning it into a soggy pulp" ..... OK moral there would have been to decrypt any long hints beforehand. ..... this applies to paper cachers only of course.
  2. This should help with lots of code puzzles free download cd
  3. Maybe it's just me, however why would it be a problem if a none member was FTF? Keep in mind the example I gave in first post of a non-cacher finding it. Isn't the very purpose of a cache to be found? Yes I fully agree with you, I was just being courteous in not doing so myself. I wish more people were of your opinion.
  4. I think that you will find that most cachers who use the loophole are those that have found the cache in the company of a premium member. The loophole has probably been put there for that very reason. If they know of the loophole they are obviously regular cachers. Family members often wish to cache in separate names. Partners often wish to cache in separate names. But is it necessary for each individual of whatever partnership they are in to have to pay membership? Surely this is not required. As long as the non-member doesn't log the cache as a FTF is there any problem in this? Yes I visited a premium member cache recently, and yes I was with a premium member, was I to sit in the car and wait, or was I to re-visit the cache again once the restriction was lifted? Nobody wants to fall out over finding a cache in a nice spot, isn't that the whole point of caching anyway? Rather than hope that GC.com will overload their servers even more with extra audit logs, would a Stat counter, or Web tracker be useful to you? You just put a short line of code on your pages before you submit (which they give you, no need to be a computer geek), that way you can see all visits, regardless of the cache membership status? They are very simple to use, and are plenty of free sites on the Internet to choose from .........however I do not know if they are suitable for what you want.
  5. "Perhaps if you made your caches available to all cachers, this wouldnt happen ??" quote PP Again I think you may have mis-read me. That was not a complaint - just a statement that this can happen?
  6. I was thanking CD for sticking up for non-members? I think you may have mis-read me?
  7. There is also a cheats way of doing this WITHOUT the help of a paying member! Perhaps if you made your caches available to all cachers, this wouldnt happen ?? chuckle chuckle! Thanks for that CD After setting 168 caches to date, and another 15 boxes sitting here ready to go out, helping and paying for a lodge for the Angus Cache Bash, doing the same again this year , I feel that I am contributing sufficiently to the hobby.
  8. Well Done for organising yet another Scottish Bash. Look forward to hearing more details soon Good One!!
  9. Me neither, however, I was blessed with the most wonderful piece of luck earlier this year, while telling a friend who is a taxi driver about caching ... actually, I diverted her when she was driving me somewhere, along the lines of "there's a loo at McDonalds if you need it" when what I really meant was, "there's a cache near McDonalds I could get, wanna stop"? ... and another cacher was born! Nor me!! Just some wonderful kind caching friends!
  10. Now that reminds me of a photograph of somebody with a yellow etrex on their head, or was it a banana? Can't 'Simply' imagine who that was? but would be funny to see that Paul photo again if anybody has it. I thought that was the traditional handshake? This one ... ? Yes that was the one I was thinking of thanks. I also found this one ;- Which makes me wonder who has had their photo on this forum the most??

  12. Thanks Megalithic, and your comments noted. However, If you look at the Streetmap link on these caches, you will see that it is infact not Geocachers who are causing the extra vehicular traffic!! Right through the Middle Three Stones Standing
