  3. Hi Grockle, I have the basic "yellow" eTrex and it does everything I want it to do regarding Geocaching It cost £129.99 last September, but I think they are cheaper than that now. I use Autoroute to get me close to the cache, then the eTrex "takes over"! You just enter the co-ords and it tells you how far you are away from the cache, as the crow flies of course! Happy 'caching, GAZ (Carlisle)
  4. Just come back on Monday...nabbed one of the two there, as it was only 2.9 miles from the hotel! Got it on Thursday....the day we hired the jeep!!! GAZ
  5. Cheers all, I've enjoyed every one......the buzz is still there! Good luck to everyone, the ton can be achieved.....and yes Dan, I am a little fitter by doing yours!!! Happy 'caching, GAZ
  6. I personally don't mind what's in the cache, as the last 30 odd, I've done on my own! I usually keep the item to trade in my pocket, to put in the next, as I used to set off without it! I have just done "Hareshaw Linn", a mile to the cache, and the real treasure was the scenery. I then spent ages looking for the cache, and the buzz was still there when I found it! The swap came from "The Long Drop", another nice place to see. Happy 'caching folks, GAZ
  7. I agree. There are a few I haven't found, so I have logged them as "not found". The answers to virtuals must be correct, or there would be no point in setting them! GAZ

  11. Hi everyone, between Good Friday and last Monday I went for about ten cache's, and clocked up about 600 miles! Each one had it's own merits, either the views as it was a good week for the weather, or the actual location. I don't care, either, coz I love it!!! GAZ
