  1. This morning, I was looking at the profile for a geocacher that hid a new cache in my area (Virginia Beach, VA). I saw that they had one other hide. This one in Colorado. It was hidden on 7/1/2003 and archived on 8/27/2003, before it was ever found. An archive note was posted that the cache was still in place. So they you go. You can be the first to find on a 1 1/2 year old archived cache.
  2. Try contacting one of these folks: fresgo LongDrive jake4729 OdysseusRex
  3. All you need is GSAK on your PC. Export your waypoints to HTML. Use your PocketPC Documents folder as the export folder. The next time you sync files, your PPC wil be updated. On your PPC, use File Explorer to find the CACHE folder that should now be in your MY DOCUMENTS folder. Open the _1index file. Create a Favorite to this file. I use TASKS to record cache notes. I cut and paste the cache name in the Subject field and hand write notes in the Notes field. ~~GS!
  4. It didn't matter in this case. The last round ended before the holidays. The next round won't begin until the hot potato is picked up again. And that will happen soon after the cache get approved.
  5. I think I know who you are referring to. Good for you!
  6. ...and writing the Jeep 4x4 # onto the tag (with a Sharpie) helps if you are holding multiple Jeeps at a time and helps future finders of the Jeep.
  7. Can GSAK distinguish between Archived caches and Disabled caches? Seems like they are treated the same. (same color in the CODE column) If so, how?
  8. You can print one from the travel bug page. Click on PRINT BUG SHEET. Here's one for your TB The Atlantean Crystal
  9. Or this one? OPERATION HIGH DESERT ADVENTURE
  10. The $14 dollar version does not come with a gps locator. You'll need to order this one: Microsoft Streets and Trips 2005 GPS Locator
  11. Marky, could you add instructions to the tracking site on how to find a User ID? I see a lot of coins getting logged with the User ID field left blank.
  12. I'm having trouble getting nRoute to work with my 76CS on my laptop. I get a CONNECTION BROKEN message when I connect the gps with the USB cable. I've also tried connecting via the serial cable with the same results. I also have NRoute loaded on my desktop computer. No problems connecting with nRoute on the desktop. Anybody else having this problem? I am able to upload City Select NA v6 maps to the 76CS using the laptop. So, I don't think it's a problem with the USB drivers. I've installed and uninstalled nRoute a couple of times to see if a reinstall would help. I've also tried the 2.1 beta version. Any tips to get nRoute to work on my laptop would be appreciated. Thanks, --GS!
  13. Since there is no cache to leave the TB in, you'll need to drop it off and then retrieve it again.
  14. Giving them names other than "Travel Bug DogTag" would help. I usually write the name that I've given the TB onto the copy tag. To figure out which is which, go to the TRACK TRAVEL BUGS page and enter the tag number in the SEARCH box. If you are logged in, you can go into edit and give the TB a name.
  15. There were 2 coins in the cache at one time. The coin you have is: TBHG4G The coin that still shows in the cache is: TBHGAD
  16. On the cache edit page, what size cache do you select to show the second smallest level on the new cache size scale? I can get the first and third sizes to show but not the second (not quite a micro, smaller than a regular)
  17. From the TRIP COMPUTER page, hit MENU, scroll to RESET. The rest is easy.
  18. Here's a couple screen shots using Garmin's xImage: If you have a specific area you'd like to see, post the coordinates.
  19. I find the geocaching mode cumbersome at times. If I'm not watching what I'm doing, sometimes I accidently hit enter when FOUND is highlighted. If I'm still searching for the cache, I have to go back in and restart the search and edit the icon back to a closed box, in case I don't find it.
  20. Try this: Push Menu twice Scroll to Setup Enter Scroll to Routing Enter Scroll down to Follow Road Options Enter Scroll to Calculate Routes for Enter This is for the 76CS. I believe the menu for the 60CS is the same. --GS!
