  1. To remove the missing TBs from the current inventory, click on the TB's name link from your cache page. On the TB's page, there should be a selection in the Travel Bug Options box for "Mark bug missing".
  2. GSAK does not load waypoints to the Que software. Mapsource has to be used. The Garmin site says the GPS 10 will: Add full-featured GPS navigation to your Windows, Windows Mobile OS or Palm OS, Bluetooth, wireless-enabled devices. So, it should work with a Palm device.
  3. I think you can go into the setup on the etrex and change the position format to show decimal degrees. Input your decimal coordinates, then change back to degrees/decimal minutes to view the regular gc.com coordinate format.
  4. I'll be using my 76CS until it turns to dust. Maybe by then the prices for the x models will have come down. (or something newer and better comes along)
  5. This site has the 60CS for $408.73 The 60CSx is $499.99
  6. Garmin has a bluetooth GPS receiver. I use the GPS 10 with my Dell Axim X50v.
  7. The tracking page needs some attention. I see a few WNs getting 7-8000 miles on single hops within the continental US.
  8. Also, it's not a good idea to post TB tag numbers in the forums. Use the name of the TB (or Jeep) or the reference number.
  9. Build 51 When I "Load GPX/LOC File" and select "Load a folder of files", a subfolder is also being read. Can I turn off this option? This problem did not occur in build 49.

  11. Another KettleCache was located on one of the passenger ferries between Portsmouth and Norfolk. The ferry didn't wait for you, so if you couldn't get on, find the cache, and get off before they left the dock, you lost precious time riding across the river and back.
  12. I'm seeing the same thing. Last year, I registered 2004 coin # 0321. Now I see another coin #0321 registered to another person. When my coin was recently found, it was logged under the other #0321. What's going on??? This years coins have the number CA5xxxx perhaps the peoplwe are not using the prefix. I have my coins but have not dropped any in caches yet nor have I registered them. I think the problem may be with the tracking site. When I enter one of my coin numbers here: http://calif.geocoin.net/track/ The pages comes up saying no owner for the coin exists. If I go to the search page: http://calif.geocoin.net/track/search.php and search for the coins registered to me, the coin history is listed correctly.

  14. I would be interested in purchasing some coins and helping out with distribution in the Hampton Roads area.
  15. You'll have to do better. I can get it new at amazon.com for $78.94 w/free shipping.
  16. That TB shows in your possesion. Look at your My Account page. Does the TB show in your "My Inventory"? You can go back to the cache page that you dropped the TB into and post another WRITE NOTE log. Before you submit the log entry, click on the name of the TB found in the box under the heading: Dropped off any Travel Bugs? Then submit the log. The TB should now show in the cache. Don't know why there is not a log showing you retrieving the TB. Could you have inadvertently deleted it?
  17. Picked up the cache this morning. It will be rehid in the Hampton Roads area. Thanks JMBella. Scott
  18. We are lurking. But...we haven't formulated a plan to recover the cache.
  19. How often do you think this happens to TBs? 4/24/2005 xxxxxx retrieved it from xxxxxxxx This was our first cache, we found this travel bug, my son REALLY wanted the star treck guy, so I thought OK, it's not the guy that is important to keep moving, it is the travel bug tag. So I removed the tag and put it on this purple nexium clock guy. We went to the next cache in XXXXXXXXX and we found that the nexim guy did not fit in the container, so again I took off the tags and put them on a blue bead necklace. We left. Later that night (7pm) we went on the site to log our visits and see where the travel bug had been. When we opened up the page on the bug. There was the picture of the star treck guy that our son was playing with. My wife freaked and demanded that we return the guy. So here we go again, pile into the car and head out at dusk to replace the guy. You will be glad to know that all right has been restored and your guy is still traveling. My mistake, again this was our first hunt and we made a rookie mistake but have corrected it.
  20. If your gpx file is too large, the GPX Map Tool may have a hard time reading it. I found if you open your gpx file with EasyGPS and save it, the unneeded info is removed, the file is much smaller, and the GPX Map Tool will create the map much quicker.

  24. Does anyone here know geo the geocacher? He has found some caches Idaho, so I think he may live there. I've been trying to contact him (via gc.com) since December, concerning a TB of mine that he has been holding since September. He has not replied back. I can see on his profile page that he is logging into the gc.com site. So he is still lurking around. If you know who he is, and can get in touch with him, please ask him to send me an email Thanks! Great Scott!
  25. How about this one: Bzzzzzz! Missing since 5/22/2003.
