  1. Uh huh. BRING IT ON! Only Feb 2nd and the count thus far... I have 2 FTF's, Patudles has 2, Xy has 1 I'm feeling the pressure!
  2. <bowing, gracioulsy> Thank you, it was a lot of fun running people down to get to the caches...you Ok Patudles? That was a nasty spill... Uh huh. BRING IT ON!
  3. Being almost 40 and married with 4 kids, I'm not much into hookups. My vote is still with Squilchuck. Easton'd be good too. Wasn't there talk of a bike venture on the John Wayne trail. Maybe the 2 events could be tied together. <Thwap> I'm talking electricity for my espresso machine! See if you get any coffee now! I do agree about possibly tying the 2 events (the bike ride and the campout) together. If that's the case, Easton is a better choice.
  4. Being from Wenatchee, my vote is for Squilchuck, but would be willing to do the Easton area as discussed earlier. I LOVE HOOKUPS!
  5. I had this same idea a bit earlier, with an image like the one posted the mighty Columbia could be an excellent coin and in many ways symbolic of the whole state. I think the Columbia itself would be a lot better that the Grand Coulee in any year. A Native American image is a must in the near future but the 25th anniversary of Mt. St. Helens eruption does give it a hefty shove to (near) the top of the list. I vote for St Helens only due to the anniversary. Love the Columbia pic. It would make an awesome coin, but perhaps for next year? (hoping Oregon doesn't use it first) The Space Needle, Grand Coulee, and an apple blossom are musts for the future.
  6. And she can go around in circles really well! Just another example of why following a simple arrow instead of listening to your auto-routing will get you to where you need to be. Who needs all those "purty" colors if you can't get to the cache??? I don't remember your Garmin finding me an espresso hut when I needed it!
  7. Have you ridden with Robinego yet? If so you'd understand, you see she is a S. Cal gal. They really know how to get around in the big cities. ~ Tudles Edit: typo Yes, I love my big gas guzzling, pollution emitting, high insurance rated, heated leather seat baby. I love to take her into the city just so I can revisit my past and enjoy traffic as it was meant to be. (Ironically, the geo-ignorant spouse runs a mass transit system and I don't use it, go figure... ) You can take the girl out of traffic, but you can't take her death-like grip off of the wheel!
  8. Took us about 2 hours. I had the coords already entered before I left the house. We did a fair amount of standing in the middle of the street talking, but it was close to midnight so traffic was not an issue. Waypoint 2 is the one that takes you the furthest out, but of course I had an advantage since I knew what waypoint 2 was and didn't have to "backtrack". It probably saved at least 20 minutes. BTW, we would have looked in your windows and played ding dong ditch, but there was a cop car parked on the side street...
  9. REALLY? Hey Xy, we must be having mass paranoia with hallucinations, because you were there, Patudles was there and AMBROSIA was definately there....I even saw deer and people looking out windows! Wait, there was even a little xy!
  10. Only because certain people can't stay out of the street at night, probably deserved it... Would never happen to me...I'm an excellent driver
  11. Criminey! I'm having a heck of a time finding spots for only 5 cans! Dude, seriously, thanks for all the new hides, but slow down, you'll burn out!
  12. I was planning on going incognito and jumping in as a ringer. I mean hey, most of them have NO idea I am a tall tanned willowy blond from SoCal.
  13. Well, your response times are impressive. I didn't even submit the cache until around 12:54 today, it was approved at 4:47 and was found by 7:20... I'm thinking Moun10Bike needs a raise! Double, no TRIPLE his salary!! I will submit the next one shortly, still debating about making it a multi. In keeping with the transportation theme I've got going on, maybe it will be a "follow that bus" cache.... I was shocked to see I got The Rock. Figured I'd be eating your dust. So now you have 2 you can run and grab in the A.M. -R-
  14. cache in question... The Rock and it has been found by "any moron" ....
  15. Hehehehehehe Patudles Posted on Jan 19 2005, 11:55 PM I wondered why my cell phone rang at 11:55 last night!!
  16. In other words, she got herself a geocruiser that will get her up the mountains and she doesn't need me anymore
  17. Ok, I just saw it pop up...and I'm thinking I'll be letting someone else figure it out. Maybe my exchange student.... Hmmm..... What kills me, there is someone out there that will see the page and say "well duh, any moron can figure that one out..." cache in question... The Rock
  18. Thank you for the correction. Math (even as simple as that was) is not my forte, but I'm a damned good nurse and I'll run you over to get that FTF! 3.5% Holy smokes! Call the P-I!!! Now wait a minute, I didn't get Non Rolling Log, that was Xy's baby so the stats would be only 50%. I got Navidogz because I left Patudles back in a snow drift, Bronze Memorials only because Ambrosia and Patudles listened to my whining were persuaded to walk and not drive to the final location, Jude's Oasis and Wrap it up were pure luck. So in essence, my # should be 25% because those were the only 2 I earned... Now that I am back to work, I'm sure I'll be skunked on my fair share.
  19. Hmmmm. Any thoughts Robinego? What 6th sence? It pops up and I'm on it like white on rice. No different than the hardcore Wet Siders! Caches don't last a few hours before they are grabbed over there. Out of 428 finds, I only have 15 FTF's. Or 0.53571428571428571428571428571429% Hardly an earth shattering number. I would however like to improve that # if you would like to give me a few heads up... You ain't kidding. I was off for over 2 months but now I'm getting called in and work is already crowding my caching time. Gotta pay for that gas! -R-
  20. Having just done the District this summer on a long vacation with the kids, I found that most of the immediate caches were virtuals. Hoping to have something tangible to put my hands on, I was a bit disappointed. But I overcame that when I found that I could (and did) grab about 30 caches in a couple of days. My feet hurt, but boy did I see and learn a lot! I've been to the District many times, but this trip was the most enlightening, mostly thanks to caching. Hardest part was coming home and logging all of them! Have a great time and pack really comfortable shoes. BTW, the metro system is superb!
  21. Being a native Laguna Beach/Niguel/Dana Point gal transplanted to the frozen plains of central Wa, would love to get my hands on a California coin, both old and the new ones when they are ready. Have Washington coins to trade.... LMK. Robinego
  22. Please put me down for 5. Will be watching the thread. Thanks, -R-
  23. Well I'll just *have* to make another trip over the hill to drop him off, and you know that will be *such* a hardship, driving by all those caches and stores that need my "attention"... I'll let you know when I plan on coming back over, obviouslyit will be in the next couple of weeks. Thanks, Robin
  24. Was on the west side yesterday and got home in the wee hours, then called to work today so I couldn't go out and play. Did the leg work on a few multi's in Issaquah while I was over there and getting a new s e r i e s ready to start planting over the course of the next few months. Hey Birdy's, I have a TB that needs to get to Calgary, next time you're down here, let me know so you can take him a little way up the road toward his goal. -R
