  1. I had stated 5 earlier, but I would like to add 3 silver as well.
  2. So far I have 60 counted for dinner on Saturday night, (incl. some locals). Some who have responded here on the thread have not on the cache page, so I may have missed you. If you said "we" or "our", I have counted you as 2 people. I only have 4 teams as 4 people (4grays, Ambrosia, Xy, Riddlers) everyone else is a 1 or 2. Please let me know if I need to update your #s. For dinner on Friday night, I suggest you all trade cell phone #s and figure out where the majority of you all are at a given time and grab something informal together. Had a brain storm... I have 16 and 17yr old daughters who would be willing to babysit youngin's if needed. The 16 yr old needs to support her gas tank habit since mom and dad will not. Let me know. We have 1 taker for back yard camping, more the merrier. And as before, locals are available for navigation. One last thought (and usually the most painful), I was wondering if I should notify our 15 page newspaper about the CM coming. (the news may get bumped if something huge happens, like 4 apples fell off a tree simultaneoulsy). Do we want this a secret, do we want lots of publicity? -R-
  3. Take a pile of Fritos and smother them with chili, cheese, onions and jalepenos and there you have it Frito Pie. Peace, Nolenator Hey that's just screaming for some sour cream and guacamole....and a beer. I'm all over that like white on rice! So, you making a truck load of this stuff to bring over?
  4. Ok, got the night off so consider this an invitation to camp on my lawn. You wont be "in town" but it's cheap, you got WiFi, a bathroom (scary as it might be), a firepit and a view! It's up Burch Mtn Road REAL close to several caches. If you have the tendency to go au' naturel, the neighbors may have a fit and you'll have some 'splainin to do (to them, not me). Nights are into the 40's right now, days, 65. -R-
  5. Well, I screwed up the math on Lunchtime, but it's fixed now. Used WP1 coords as the final coords so you ended up right back where you started! Ha! Now there's an idea, too bad it's only a 2 step!
  6. Robinego is the only geocacher I know of that sits in her Spanish Villa looking down on Wenatchee. The rest of us live in the valley or in the canyons. Sometimes we wonder about her, but you know, there's less oxygen at the higher levels. <Thwap> Look buddy, I know where you live. Patudles has a great park in front of her house, wonder if her neighbors would mind? You know, I've come to the conclusion, If one comes, why not more. The geo-ignorant spouse would be THRILLED with me lending our patch o'grass to all of you, but hey, we cachers are a bit impetuous. Forgot to mention, I have WiFi as does my neighbor! And I'm trying like heck to get the night off.
  7. March is in and up already. Man, these approvers need to lay off the caffeine! Dudes, I need to submit another one since you approved it so fast. Got no satifaction since I couldn't tease the others and drag it out! Oh man, now I'm starting to feel a little co-dependent enabling them with their habit. When the cache machine rolls through, I'm buying them a drink...sans caffeine... ok, 2.
  8. Ha! Famous in who's eyes? We are a bunch of misfits who constantly call each other enough times our families are getting suspicious. "Yes honey, that was Xy, but he was asking about a cache...really!" or better yet, "mom, "that woman" is on the phone again". We know each other's work schedule so we know when we can skunk the others on FTF's. (assuming Xy would actually stay at work and do some) Can't tell you how excited we are to have you all come over here. I am scheduled to work that Friday night but have a back yard you are more than welcome to pitch a tent in. It's not a Spanish style, but you can't beat the view and there is a firepit. And as a bonus, the bar isn't too far! Course, the dog may take a liking to you and you would have to use the kids bathroom downstairs, but heck, you're used to wild and dangerous animals right? (i'm talking kids, not dog here) You'd be gone by the time I get home so I wouldn't be waking you up.
  9. Sleeping. But I'm awake until Friday so I'll be out there planting, retrieving and finding caches this week. Only have 15 more to go, I might be able to do it this week...
  10. Basically we need 2 nights for meals right? Approximate numbers for Friday and Saturday night are needed. I've been watching the cache page and counting, but I have no idea for what night. Maybe if everyone responds here and lets me know or even e-mails me, I could firm up that number. Also, are there children involved? I've been giving the town a few go rounds. Mexican seems to be the front runner only because these seem to have the room. I have one place (El Abuelo...the grandfather) that has an upstairs room that can seat up to 100 people. We would have our own server and a buffet style serving of 3 items, chicken, beef and seafood, along with the standard sides. Approximate cost per person, $12.50, libations not included. The food is good (tested it myself the other night) and the owner is anxious to have us. I also have a line on Garlini's which is an Italian restaurant and a local favorite for the other night. Let me know what you all think. I can also talk to the Red Robin manager (who needs to make up to me big time for the stinging letter I wrote to corporate about him and his staff). Improvements have been made, but I have no compunction to point out that I have my eye on them. (once a waitress always a waitress). Travis, you've done a huge amount of work on this so I don't want you to stress over the mundane. Consider the meals taken care of. -R-
  11. ??? Hmmm.... who knew sleep would be more important than caching...I certainly didn't. This weekend for sure, I have been denied too long. Going to play "involved spouse" in Leavenworth (the Trolley is starting) and *perhaps* drop my March cache. I want to get back up to Uncle Ed's too, take a lunch and enjoy the view. Hopefully, I'll get to the newest caches on Monday.
  12. I too would like to order 5 coins if they are available. Please let me know.
  13. ROFLMAO! Ok, ok, ok...smart a** , but you left yourself wide open you know . I did figure it out last night and will be bagging it today when I can finish reconciling this months bills. Believe me, I'd rather look at that gibberish than at my AmEx statement! BTW, I'm calling the dam (Kirby) for a hard hat tour pretty soon. Won it in an auction and am really looking forward to seeing this engineering/architectual marvel you work at. I'll let you know when I have it set up. -R-
  14. Oh so that's why I can't do these, I'm OVER thinking it...I only need HALF a brain! (now you knew you left yourself wide open for that one)
  15. Ok, this "working" crap has got to end! I mean c'mon, my caching is being severely impacted, what with working at night and then the "sleeping" thing going on during the day. Hey I know, Moun10Bike has a new baby...he can approve our caches in the middle of the night (he's up anyway doing the feeding thing...or should be ) and then I will view them at work before I leave and grab them on the way home... Of course, I have been all too happy to have missed the latest drama in the valley. -R- I'm taking donations so I can quit my job...
  16. (in her best SoCal beach voice) Dude! You rock! 1100? Where are you finding them? They aren't here in spite of the once a month club.
  17. Wow! I had no idea. Maybe they treated my husband so well was because he was there for so long and they needed to impress him for future business purposes. I will surely let him AND Red Lion management know about these ratings and my displeasure. I just had dinner with the manager last Thursday too and even spoke to him about the cache machine coming through...
  18. I see this coord (W 76 24.64_) runs through some pretty populated areas and I'm hoping someone in the area can help me out. Where's in a name cache Let me know. Thanks. -R-
  19. I know better since I already got "the call" this morning. But hey, I tried! I believe Toodles already grabbed my 2nd hide as well. I didn't tell you guys about that one because I was trying to slip one by you all . Hard to do when she's up all night trolling the website and Xy is out of the house at the butt crack of dawn!
  20. Because Team MisGuided has no life other than to approve our caches, it's up and ready for you to rush out under the guise of "work" . Can't anyone around Wenatchee/Rock Island/Quincy fake a work related injury so Xy has to do some real work? Hey Toodles, got a chain saw and some fake blood? Or wait...Nav, don't you have some work at Rocky Reach tom'w EARLY?
  21. I'm staying at LaQuinta in Wenatchee. They were pretty reasonable - about $60 a night, have high speed internet, a pool, and most importantly for me, allow dogs. I got the Red Lion for $69 per night. They also have Wireless Internet in all the rooms, and it's included in the room price. Most places are charging extra for internet access, so I consider this a decent deal Personally, I would chose the Red Lion. My husband lived there for 2 solid months before I got the house in SoCal sold, closed and relocated the rest of the family up here. They treated him well and you really can't beat the price considering what you get. The La Quinta looks promising as well. Clean and inviting from the outside.
  22. Ahhh....got a call that someone wants to add some coins to my order. Can I have 7 instead? Will send the check out in todays post.
