  1. OK. Thanks very much! Have a good week!!
  2. I am a PM...so I cannot download multiple caches at a time, without creating a PQ?
  3. Then the PQ opens a page where I have to set a bunch of defaults/selections. Then it emails the zipped file to me. Unzipping it, brings up GSAK. Yup, that works. But, isn't there a way to just send the selected geocaches direct to my GPS from within geocaching.com??
  4. If I download a single Geocache to my Garmin Oregon, all is well. Either direct, or through GSAK. BUT.... When looking at a geocache on the website, if I select to search for others near this location, and get a list...select all, and download, it sends them as LOC file types, and does not transfer over logs, descriptions, or hints. Can't the geocache web site download a bunch of geocaches as GPX type??
  5. A normal cache (GC1VY5P) also lists coordinates for parking. From within Geocaching.com, if I click on the parking and bring it up on geocaching google maps....the parking does not come up...but rather the actual geocache location. This seems to be a bug. So, I entered the Lat/Long manually, but it seems I should be able to download the parking coordinates just like the geocache. It even has a Geocache number (NB1VY5P) but can't find that when entering it in as a cache. Anyone been-there, done-that?
  6. Geocache/Groundspeak does not have a way to search for caches left by other Scout groups. That would be fun to bring Scouts out to find interesting stuff left by other Scouts, and then leave caches as well to later read up on what other Scouts commented. To bring my Tiger Cub group out in the woods to find a broken McDonalds trinket, or old Cracker Jack prize...might not be met with much enthusiasm
  7. Thanks folks!!! So that's it....google. earth....pocket querry...... and .1 mile distance....That should work! Thanks again ...Dave
  8. Yes, I read the instructions about using google earth to create a route...and then importing that route file etc. I don't want to be driving off the highway into small town parks along the way...Just wanted to stop at highway stops. My guess would be to limit the distance from the route to like .1 miles??? Or is there another 'trick' to finding caches hidden at rest area, scenic, and other stops along a highway?
  9. One of the premium member features allows you to find caches along a route. Does anyone know how this works? What I would LOVE to do is find caches hidden at rest area stops along a highway...as I travel several states. Can someone give me a quick "how to" on doing this? Thanks all!!
