Dave 101

Hi all , we went out on our fist geocache hunt today , Springfield Bunnies , Essex . We found it from the photos and the clues , as I new the area from 20 years ago when I used to walk my dog in that area , I only had a sat nav which wasnt of any use to us . I will need to get a good GPS unit , any recomendations . We all enjoyed ourselves , and saw plenty of rabbits and a kestral in a tree next to us . The Broomfield Spotters .

Hi , I am a newbie in Essex , I have had a couple of people offer assistance already , I thought my satnav would be suitable for this ,mmm maybe not , but I have seen a cache in my area and I recognise it from members photos , I used to walk my dog there 15 years ago , so I will go have a look , otherwise I will be map reading . Hi , I am in Chelmsford , I see there are some caches in this area , do you go out in groups ? I was looking at some photos that have been posted for Writtle and Hylands Park , I will try those out soon . Thanks for the offer Dave

I was on a different forum unrelated , and someone found a cache by accident , one or two others had heard of GC and also took part , provided a link , I had heard of it years ago before I had a pc . As I enjoy a walk out with the family I thought it would be an added interest to the walk . I always use the same handle on several forums so someone may recognise me . Dave

Hi to all , this my first post , just found out about Geocache a couple of days ago , took a look at the web site so I logged on . I am in Essex and found some locations near to me which I will go and have a look at . I recoknised one place from a photo , I used to walk my dog there 15 years ago will have a look soon . Theres plenty to work on I will have to brush up on my map reading and work out how to put the coordinates into my satnav . Dave
