  1. Thanks Caching in the 49th state for trying to be the peace keeper. I understand there will always be haters. You can't please everyone. I have also learned that a lot of people can find it so easy to be negative, but very difficult to find anything positive. I am a very positive person and pretty happy 90% of the time. However i have learnt a valuable lession from this thread, and thats not to post on these geocaching forums again. If people don't like my vlogs or how I cache, that is fine. However, i do know that there a way more people who love my vlogs, and it's those people who i will surround myself with and keep positive. So thanks to all the ones who support me. They understand what Geocaching is all about. Being supportive, adventure and fun.
  2. noted. thanks. I may seem I'm ahead of myself, But I know what i am doing. Thanks for your concern though.
  3. Obviously Team Microdot, You have no idea that stuff is not all about money. I probably make $1 on those videos....wow! big bucks! There is however a thing called passion, and it is this that drives me in gecoaching and making these vlogs. Plus the time it takes to put together one of those videos takes a lot of time. For one episode your looking at about two days worth of work and video rendering to make a single vlog with all the location shooting, green screen stuff with hosting's and graphics. But if you do not appreciate all of that effort, then just don't watch them and keep your negitive comments to yourself and go back into hiding under your fake geocaching rock that you came from, ;b However, to the people that do like them, A big and warm thank you for all of your support. It means so much to me
  4. Well thanks to the first two people who answered my question and the others who helped rather then question my state's on Caching. So to keep all the haters happy..... Why the geocaching slump? Because I have a very VERY busy work life style because i work in mainstream media. Broadcast Television. That takes up ALOT of my time. I also do Commercial Radio. Sorry for being so ambitious! No....I could not find the basic rules to caching. But I do know where they are now. Yes....Geocaching is a passion of mine that i can not do all the time (back to the work thing) And please understand, I may not be as a "Die hard" gecacher as yourselfs, but I enjoy it as a hobby and to express my passion, I like to make videos! If you don't like what i do.....JUST DON'T WATCH! And go away rather then disecting what I do and leaving your hateful messages. I asked a perfectly legit question on this forum.....I did not ask for hurtful comments. And I thought the Geocaching community was a nice one full of supportive people. Geez did i guess wrong.
  5. You're wondering now, after placing 9 caches? The Guidelines: http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx Specifically 1. Fundamental Placement Guidelines item #7 Help Center - Hiding a Geocache http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.book&id=19 B. But my nine caches are not in close proximity to another cache. So i don't know.
  6. I was just wondering, whats the minimum distance allowed between 2 placed geocaches?
  7. I have got what others have lablled as a "hybrid" accent. Part british, part Aussie. Depending where your from, some places call it a cache (kaysh) or a cache (cash)....I find I say both. But both ways mean the same thing....a cache! Either way, we all share the same passion for Geocaching PS thanks for all your kind comments! I am so happy you like FTF TV

  14. interesting suggestions. Theres a few things i will try now. shame that geocaching.com only has the search option for geocoin's and not trackable's. I guss i need to learn a little more about the pocket Query option as well. This is somthing I don't use very much at all. To find Caches, i normally just look for them using the map. But like lieblweb mentioned above about Travel bug hotels......thats exactly why i am looking for travel bugs as i want to set up a TB hotel in my area, and I want to see how many TB's were around, just out of curiosity.
  15. Hi All, Is there a function on the geocaching.com website that allows you to see what trackable,s are currently in your surrounding area? and which caches they are in? Thanks. CSavvy.

  18. Hi Fellow cachers, I was wondering if anyone knows if you can make a Cache container a trackable. i am Geocaching.com's first Trackable Sound Guy (http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=2784336) I carry around a Dog tag with me, so people can log that they have discovered me. I was wondering though, could i carry around a Cache container that can be linked to my trackable dog tag, so the Cache also becomes a trackable and also moves! Your input is appreciated. Csavvy.
  19. Find this very unique Travel Bug!!! http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=2784336
  20. Hay Guys, Thanks so much for all your input and help. I found a "Projection" option on my Garmin GPSmap 62. (It's not a 64 like I originally thought and posted! silly me!!) You can just type in the degree's and other information and it takes care of it all!!!! I feel so stupid.....But I guess it's all a learning curve. This is the first time I have had to use Projections to find a Cache, so it was all a bit new to me. Once again, a massive ***THANK YOU***. I really appreciate your help and the time you guys took to reply to my post. Regards, Savvy the Trackable Sound Guy.
  21. Can anyone explain to me what this means? "D = last 2 digits on the second to last line in the memorial text Now project D meters at D degrees (true) and this will take you on short walk to an area which was once occupied by something else." It's a clue from a cache I am seeking, But I don't understand what to do. I have the number required for "D" But how does that turn into Meters and degree's?? I use a Garmin 64 if that helps, and how do I use my GPS to find GZ using the above info/clue??
