I have a garmin etrex legend cx and I have downloaded geocaches before but tonight I can't for some reason. mapsource says that it was sent but cannot locate on device. Any suggestions. I am taking a trip tomorrow and need this, argghhhhhhhhhh!!! Thank you,

I am going to Hawaii in a couple of months and want to do a bit of geocaching. I use a garmin legend cx and I can't seem to find Hawaii on it. What can I do? Is there a map I can download so I will have it while I am there, don't want to spend much money on it. Thanks

I just started this sport as well and I got a Garmin etrex legend cx on ebay for a lil' over 100 bucks, as the other post said, this has expandable memory, can also load city navigator. It is perfect for myself getting started geocaching. I wouldn't of wanted to spend anymore until I know that I am going to stick with it. I have had a blast so far. God Bless,

I was wondering the same thing but like the message above ^^^^ says, you have to go to each individual cache and log your find that way. No way to upload from your unit and log each individual one all at once.

I am in the same boat with ya on this one. I just got a palm vx and from what they are telling me is that I need a serial port to usb driver. Did you get a driver disc with the adapter? Or you can go online to get the driver as well. I downloaded two different ones online this morning and still can't get mine to work. Good luck, let me know what happens.

Thanks a lot. Like I said earlier, I will have lots of time to mess with it this weekend. I can always get ahold of palm tech. support and have them walk me through this stuff. When all else fails call tech. support. Let me know what your machine at home does. Thanks

I was just wondering if it would be worth it for me to put city nav on my etrex legend cx? I have done some research on it but want to know if it will work on my unit, and if anyone else here has used it on a garmin legend? My friend has it in his car on a nuvi but does it work the same on the etrex? Thank you.

I loaded the driver for the palm vx itself, but I when I plugged it back in it said "searching for driver" and it couldn't locate, no matter what I did. I will have more time this weekend to mess with it. I will let ya know. Thank you for all of your help.

I have a usb adapter to plug in to my laptop, and not sure if 64 bit or not, how do I check this?

That is where I went but when I plug my palm in, it says searching for software but will not recognize it. I am using windows vista, wonder if it works with it. Soooo frustrating. Thanks

I am having difficulty finding the software for my palm vx since it didn't come with the unit. Will the download from palm itself work with windows vista? I did download it but don't know if it is working properly because each time I plug in the unit it says searching for software and it never finds it. I tried to just type in a contact on my laptop and send it to my palm but I am not sure how to do that. Thanks

I just bought a palm vx off of ebay, unfortunatley it didn't come with the software. Is there somewhere I can get the download. I have tried to get it from Palm itself but am having difficulty with it. Maybe I am out of my league here, I want to go paperless and have the tutorials to follow to do this. I just purchased a palm vx and I am wondering how I use it so I don't have to print sheets for each and every cache. I am new to this and already am bothered by the amount of paper that is floating around my SUV. I purchased the palm vx so I am in need of how to use it to go "paperless", can someone help me with this? Is there a tutorial on this subject, a video? Thank you.

Not sure if I will be doing much at lunch since I wear a shirt and tie at work. I would come back to the office not looking to savvy . Can't wait until 5pm, got it all mapped out.

I want to get city navigator for my new Garmin etrex legend cx and I was wondering where I could get the most affordable copy. I have looked on eBay but most of them say "Updates", does the update include the whole program? The ones that say they are the update is just as much as the ones that don't , please help me.
