  1. We are new here and new to caching. We stumbled upon the sport and started a few weeks ago and have already found 45+ caches. My name is Megan and my husband is Roscoe (duh.. its our user name. lol) . We've got three kids ages 2,3,and 6. And they are usually always out caching with us! They don't always enjoy it, they are young and get bored and/or distracted easily. So it is a plus that our main geocaching vehicle has a dvd player in it, that way during our park and grabs they don't have to get out and usually ross or I just jump out to make the find. lol We live down in south eastern GA, in Saint Marys, just above the FL line. And we've done caching in GA and FL, but we don't belong to any association/group yet. We did meet two other cachers while we've been out, and it is nice to have someone to bounce ideas off of!! I'm glad to find this forum, alot of great info!!!
  2. We are in Saint Marys GA... anyone down this way? We are practicly in FL maybe we should just claim FL LOL !
  3. How do you go about asking for permission? Do you go prepared with a business card or brochure that has info about geocaching and your contact info (incase the owner or person you need to talk to isn't there)? Do you talk to them about other local locations that already have given permission for caches? I'm trying to find out the best way to go about informing our perspective areas about geocaching and convensing them that it is a legit worldwide sport/hobby that other 'land' owners participate in by allowing us to hide caches on their property. thanks!
