  1. Is there a way to choose a user and see how many of my cache hides they have found?? Something in the line of a PQ?
  2. Thank you. I wondered about the recognition software. I do enter them manually when I get a notification of a new cache. Just was looking for a quicker way to add multiple caches for the area I was in too.
  3. I posted this a while back and it was suggested to me to try asking here. Is it possible to transfer a .loc file from an Android that is logged into GC.com and then clicking on the "Send to My GPS" if the two devices are connected to each other with a mini USB / micro USB? If I had a mini to micro USB cable I would just try it. Just wondering if anyone else has tried before I order the cable. Reason I would do this is if I wasn't at my PC when a new cache notification came out. Yes, I could just use the Android, but it doesn't compare to the accuracy of the Map60 especially if the cache is in the timber. Not to mention cell battery issues.
  4. No I'm using a PC. The only time I would need this, and actually it is quite often in warmer weather, is when I get a cell notification of new hides from CG.com when I'm not at home. I could type the coords in manually or use my cell gps, but the Map60 is so much more accurate. When at home/my PC I just send the .loc to my Map60 via "Send to GPS". Just trying to get to a new cache faster than my in town competitors
  5. I may be expecting too much but could there be a way using a mini USB to micro USB to log onto GC.com and click "Send to GPS" and have it send a .loc file to my Map60csx from my Android cell? Has anyone attempted this? AlteredStar
  6. Not sure what GPS you are using, there should be a setting under Settings/Map that allow you to choose off road or off road. Use off road for geocaching.
  7. I'm wondering if there is a way to put multiple poi files on the Map60. What I'm meaning is. Can I put a POI of only Traditional caches, one of only Multi caches, only Earth caches, etc.. and access them separately? Maybe in different folders or rename the poi's to something different? 8. I do use GSAK mainly for poi's, my records and uploading my status to GC.com. Although there are times I just want to take a choice few caches (.loc files) into Mapsource to edit notes or other details plus I can get an idea of the entire grouping of the selected caches on the Mapsourse map. I could click the ticks next to the caches I want to save from GC.com and they would auto open Mapsource, I can edit and send directly from Mapsource to my map60. Probably for another thread but I can't figure out how to choose just a few caches in a GSAK database to send to my GPS as .loc files, it sends the entire database to my Map60.
  9. Just curious if you meant MapSource rather than MapQuest? I tried to load a few .loc files directly from Geocaching.com, as I have in the past, and I'm getting a message that says they "can't be imported". I'm using MapSource. I even downloaded the files to my HD and they won't open either. Hoping someone can come up with an answer. David
  10. I have been to the activate link ( that was posted here ) and entered my Tracking # and Activation code as printed on my sticker and I get a message that says: The Travel Bug you requested does not exist in the system The sticker says go to www.Groundspeak.com but I don't see any other links to activate my TB. Do I have to make a new cache report ( the cache that my TB is in?) before I can activate my TB? Thanks .........I found a small link somewhere also.....
