  1. I am thinking about getting the Orgen 400t but the price is much less for the Colorado 400t. Since I am fairly new to GPSr can someone dumb down the differences between them? I know one is touch screen and one is not but what else is there? My main use is for Geocaching and metal detecing. I would be using the unit about 20 hours a week. Looks like there is a $50 rebate on the Oregon for the next 10 days so I need to decide soon. Thanks, Dave
  2. I live in Des Moines and was thinking of this unit. You can get it new on offroute.com for $435 which includes the new 50 rebate. I dont need the SD card or the city nav. program. Would you consider a better price? If so PM me and maybe we can make a deal. Thanks
  3. I think I am going to get a 400t. Atleast its on my birthday list which is in a month
  4. I live in Iowa and it has just been a bad winter! Today was great.. 55 and sunny. I packed up my 3.5 yr old daughter and headed off. Went and tried one very close to my house. NO LUCK.. Looked and looked. After about an hour we gave up. I headed to another spot less than a half mile from my house. Walked right across the road and found it. Great way to end the day. It was just a log one but still fun and glad to know I was able figure out my GPS. Thanks Dave
  5. Can you download locations to that model? Looks like that might be the one I go with
  6. How well do the portible vehicle GPSs work for geocaching and is there a model you would sugest? Max price 200 Thanks Dave
  7. Magellan® Triton 300 Handheld GPS Unit They also have a 400 but I cant seem to figure out the differences in them? I have a $75 gift card to Bass Pro and nothing sounds interesting to me except maybe a new unit. I dont have a ton of hours using a GPS and only use one for metal detecting and hiking. I want to get into this hobby and this model seems very easy to use.. I am open to your thoughts good or bad Thanks Dave

  12. I have a Brunton Atlas GPS. I have used it for hiking and stuff, but I would like to start using it for this. It has a place were you can add an SD card, but there is no way to link the unit to my computer to transfer the Long-Lat info. I cant seem to figure a way to type them into the unit either. Does anyone have any idea on this model or ideas on how to add the info? Thanks! Dave PS I have checked the owners manual and it doesnt say and I am waiting for a call back from the company.
