  1. I tried caching and just dont have a bunch of time to get out and cant justify keeping the money tied up in a unit I dont use. I have another Garmin I can use for the few times a season I want to get out.
  2. The direct sun can make any unit hard to read. If that is the case and has been from time to time I just cup my hand over it and make a shadow. Not a big deal. I can take paypal.
  3. I just posted one for sale if you are still interested? $375 with car charger.. Like new!
  4. Like new! Used very lightly. Still have the box and USB cable and everything that came with it. I have top of the line rechargable batteries in it and a Garmin car charger. Questions please let me know. Price is $375 shipped. NO TRADES. Got a new Garmin and dont need this one any longer. Thanks!
  5. From the terrorism classes I have taken, they say that they try to cause terror to mass numbers of people which would be their objective. One explosion in a cache would not be worth their time and effort. If they were going to strike with an explosive they would want to target large numbers of people. Not saying it couldnt happen as anything could happen, but not likely.
  6. Oh NO, Not another TICK! Man I hate those things!!!
  7. Glad everything turned out OK for you guys.. I work for the fire department and know how those things can happen before you know it. I also hike in the woods alot. I ALWAYS ALWAYS carry extra food and a space blanket and two glow sticks along with a first aid kit etc.. Your better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Again glad you guys were OK
  8. I take my 3 yr old daughter 99% of the times I go. Here is what I get out of geocaching... The challange of finding a small item placed some where by someone and I have to think move and act to find it. Here is what she getts out of geocaching. Exercise exposier to wildlife and what kid doesnt love the small toys. This also teaches her about sharing. All around it is a great family hobby. We also try to place items that other kids would enjoy. Thanks, Dave and Becca
  9. My daughter and I decided to head out today for some geocaching. We were 100% for the first time, 4 out of 4. Perfect weather! Walked about 5 miles all day. She got to play at an new park I didnt know was there. Had lunch and watched the deer across the creek from us the entire time. What a great day! One proud kid! Getting ready to hide "Becca's Hide" One happy geocacher!

  15. LOL!!! Thanks for helping me see the light
  16. I am fairly new to this so forgive any stupid questions here..... I have spend several hours on this site reading and studying different cache types etc... I have seen some that just seem impossible. When I hid my cache I did it so that it was not in the open, but wouldnt take hours to try to find it but a little hard looking. SO I guess I am asking how far is to far in hiding a cache? Thanks, Dave
